One minor gripe, but would still recommend
on 28 January 2015
I've got a minor gripe, but for the money this is hard to beat. I use in a home gym for bench press (load on bench 80-100kg + my 80kg weight), shoulder press, box squats etc.
- Solid, sturdy construction. Feels like it will last. Doesn't move about under me when I'm lifting.
- Has wheels (hard to spot in the pics) and a handle under the seat to help move it about
- Padding feels as good as any bench in a commercial gym
- Could do with more adjustment angles. One in between the completely vertical position and one notch reclined would be perfect for shoulder press, I feel slightly too reclined.
Other reviewers have mentioned the lack of seat adjustment and decline, and the flimsiness of the weight holders. Also, that you have to take a pin out and reinsert to adjust the backrest angle (takes a couple of seconds, no more). Worth noting these points if they're relevant to you. They're non-issues for me however.
