Many words have been written on this classic and great live performance of the Ahmad Jamal Trio. This is an essential addition to the collection of any jazz lover and a must have for jazz piano lovers. I have never heard the original LPs but the sound quality of this CD edition is fairly good as compared to other live performances taped in the 50s and the audience is mostly quite. Just one suggestion: if you want to hear more from the same trio check out Complete Live at the Spotlite Club 1958, less celebrated but in my opinion even better! Anyway if you love jazz there is no wrong choice. Enjoy!
