This movie was really very bad. The storyline is one thats already been done much better and basically in this movie wasn't portrayed very well. The movie almost looked like it was home filmed which made the quality of the actual movie very poor.
Overall, a big dissapointment.

I really like John Hillcoat and his movies especially "Ghosts..", but this one is to slow.
Don't get me wrong it's not a bad movie, the actors are good and there are some good moments but compared to the other Hillcoat films this one is not so great.

When Jack's wife dies mysteriously he takes a trip to Melbourne where he meets Kate. After romancing her he persuades her to come and live with him in the jungle. But things are not what they seem and their days in paradise become hell as Kate slowly unravel the mystery surrounding Jack's wife death leading to tragic consequences.

Gripping thriller beautifully filmed and acted. Both lead actors (Rachel Griffiths and Tcheky Karyo) provide great performances and director John Hillcoat (The proposition) directs with style and tremendous talent. Will have you hooked until its final devastating climax. Highly recommended!
