3.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first one
I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to watch a second part of a movie that I didn't like that much, but I was wrong, it happends to be, on my opinion, a better movie, funnier and sexier than the first movie, and Eating Out is quite sexy.
It is a nice movie to watch at home, especially if you watch it with a hot guy next to you...

3.0 out of 5 stars Sexy but not really that funny., 12 April 2011

I do love the Eating Out movies, all three of them and do like this. The plot is very simplistic, in that new alleged ex gay hunk arrives on campus to do nude modelling, and everyone falls for him. In order to entrap him a series of subterfuges are engaged by the sex mad students.
At the same time there is a `Coming In' group of self hating homophobes, who are trying to return homos' to the embrace of God. Some more pretence about having changed and having a hotty girlfriend from the subterfugees.

Well there are a lot of gags, in more ways than one especially with a gay cunnilingis scene. But the plot is waffer thin and some of the jokes are so well sign posted that a blind man could see them coming. All that aside, the cast are all incredibly hot, which whilst being stereo typical is at least pleasing on the eye, it is well intentioned, light hearted and does just fly by.

So if you want a bit of harmless fun with some titillating scenes, but no sex per se, then this should float your boat, I don't think that is a pun, but if it is so what? I will be getting number 4.

Not bad - some parts were a tad "bad-taste" for me, but overall enjoyable...

To be honest, I was hooked by the guy on the front cover looking all cool, confident and sexy...he's nothing like that in the film though as he plays the stereotyped confused boy, Troy (from Illinois!) However, his performance is quite endearing throughout (and the full frontal helps as well!)

Tiffany, Gwen and Kyle return from the first film and, if only for the fact that she looks way better than she did in the first film, Tiffany steals the show.

So main objective is to get Kyle with Troy by causing them to spend time with one another but of course - as with the first film - the direct route is overlooked in favour of some over-complicated plot that is doomed to fail before it starts...

The plot in this case is to pose Kyle as an x-gay who now has a girlfriend in the form of Tiffany. As Troy thinks he is gay but is confused about whether he really wants to bat for that team hearing that Kyle has "overcome" his inner queen is music to his ears.
There also happens to be a support group calling themselves "Coming In" that is there to help gay men become straight.
So, Kyle in the guise of reformed `Mo accompanies Troy to one of these meetings and....well, if you like the sound of it thus far go ahead and click buy to find out what happens next...

I think it's fair to say that it's more "full on" than the first film and watching the uber cute Brett Chukerman (who plays Marc) and Marco Dapper (Troy) get it on is sheer heaven to watch and will probably be the scene that ensures I check the film out again soon...

So reasons to watch: eye candy getting in on with eye candy - raises a few smiles aaaaaand...more eye candy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not such a sloppy second helping, 21 Feb 2010
This review is from: Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds [2007] [DVD] (DVD)
'Sweet', 'sexy' and 'good-natured' - those are the best adjectives to sum up this film. Grittily realistic it certainly is not but the film also has enough genuine warmth, whimsy and irreverent comedy to stop it being maudlin. The likeable and sweet-natured, if flawed, characters inhabit the sort of gentle idealised 'Friends-like' universe which, yes doesn't really exist, but into which it's nice to escape every now and again. The premise, though quite simple, is effectively worked through and there are some clever bits of linkage and an impressive amount of attention to detail. The acting is generally pretty good too with the comic timing and the facial expressions providing for me the most laughs (some of the verbal jokes are a wee bit lame). The obvious fun that the actors had making the movie also works in its favour. I look forward to watching it again sometime.

I personally thought this was a bit funnier than the first especially the actress who played the character Tiffani. A shame the two main stars of the first did not return for the sequel but it's not a huge loss. Again a short running time for a film.

One of the few sequels which are pretty good and follow the plotline of the initial film
