I bought these in the hope that I would save money whilst being green but have been let down on several occasions now. I have a really good milk supply, and have leaked through these pads when my baby has been due a feed, I also gave up wearing them overnight after a week of waking up completely soaked through, and have gone back to disposables overnight. Overall I would recommend wearing these if you are coming to the end of breastfeeding or are combining breastfeeding with formula and have your milk supply well established. My advice is to carry disposables in your nappy bag just in case you have an accident.

I bought these as I wanted to stop using disposable pads and these seemed far more environmentally and cost friendly.

Sadly, they're rubbish. They are completely flat- ie, not contoured to the shape of a breast- so unless they're carefuly positioned (and they move around in ones bra so their position changes a lot) the milk just leaks downwards and I've been left with a soaking wet bra on numerous occasions. Also, they're not very absorbant (not compared to dispoable pads) so I went through all 6 in one day... which meant I had to go back to dispoable pads anyway. Useless.

I do not recommend these at all! Buy contoured pads instead. And I recommend ones made from bamboo which is far more absorbant.

This product is ok but have had some instances where they have stuck to the skin and they are quite bulky wouldn`t buy them again.

Wash and dry easily but not very absorbant - soaked through in a very short time.

I leaked straight through these pads in a matter of minutes. They absorb a few drops but there is nothing stopping it from going out the other side. Save your money and skip these. You need something with a waterproof layer. And more absorbency than these have.

They left a round outline on my clothes so it was obvious i was wearing them. Not fault of the product, but i lost 2 straight away by putting them in the wash without putting them in the net bag first, they have now joined the land that all good socks go to!

Currently breastfeeding baby 3... Have used these since baby one, after two nth of disposable ones ... Not very environmentally friendly, and very few brands were really comfortable.
I absolutely LOVE these !! The fact that they are breathable makes it impossible to get back to the disposable ones and their inevitable plastic based layer.
What do I like about these ?
- re usable AND getting more comfy the more you wash them !
- easy to use, to wash and keep clean
-good for environment
-BREATHABLE. Seriously, my nipples just don't agree with any other kind anymore !

When you get them, they feel thick and quite big, and will show in you bra. But wash them once or twice and there you go (and it improves their absorbency !). They will shrink in the wash as well, coming to a more sensible size.
I've had to replace a few this time, but I've worn them literally day and night for 5+5 months (+2 months with this baby). Now, so you get the occasional leak ? Yes. Two reasons :
1- there is no sticky patch on the back of them so they can end up misplaced in you cup... Which means they can't absorb what's leaking if they're are not covering you nipple. I find the solution to this is a more adapted bra shape. They just move around in some of my bras, and never move in others.
2- time between feeds is longer than usual and there's just too much flowing even before baby feeds... That happens to me a lot, and the solution there is very simple : change them more often !
TBH I don't really mind the occasional leak... I wear ample tops for breastfeeding anyway... So only my bra is usually affected. I consider it part of the process...

This pads are absolutely useless!!! They DO NOT absorb all the wetness I have leaked on more then one occasion not even worth wearing them at night! They do move lace backing is not slip proof any more then it is waterproof and the material of the pads have stuck to my boobs!

I would not buy this save your money!

I've tried several washable breastpads in the 2.5 years I've been breastfeeding, and these are by far my favourite.

They're:
* soft and comfortable
* not too big (so don't stick out the top of my bra)
* absorbent so they keep moisture away from my skin unlike others I've tried, I hate the damp feeling some others gave me
* no leaks, not even overnight even when I've been engorged. Of course, had I used them before my milk supply had been established I'd probably have had some leaks, but I waited until about the 3 month mark
* the lace is feminine and most importantly provides grip to stop them randomly popping out or being displaced after nursing
* dry very quickly after washing

I can't fault them, great value for money.

I wouldn't recommend these to a new mum with a good milk supply. If you suffer with a lot of leakage these are simply not absorbent enough to rely on. I used to use these in the house during the day, and disposables at night and when I was out and about as disposables can hold so much more.

When they come into their own is at the end of breast feeding when your supply is reduced, eg if your child is weaned and only has a couple of feeds a day and you don't tend to suffer with as much leakage. They can be used, washed and used again countless times saving you the cost of expensive disposables. They are fairly bulky but most breast pads are visible through a normal bra if you wear fitted tops. Try a padded one (m and s do one) and you won't get the show through.
