Agree entirely with the other reviewer. Dion is my main man. He can do, and has done, practically everything (doo-wop, rock'n'roll, country, folk, gospel, blues) you name it , he has done it, and a great deal of it brilliantly. This is one of his more mellow albums with some outstanding, and surprising covers. Try his version of Purple Haze to see what I mean. Then there is his impeccable version of Abraham Martin and John, one of my favourite all time songs. Ok, so the arrangements are a bit dated, and some slightly strange, but Dion is one of the most emotional singers in pop history and he scores here with Dolphins, Tomorrow is a long time and From Both Sides now, as well as the title track. Excellent

I love Dion, and this album is another of the singers adventures into folk rock, like Wonder where I'm bound. Though he could be accused of startling unoriginality in his search for a hit, his voice is such that, he can only add to the bandwagons he jumps on. The singers own songs on the album stand up to scrutiny, but, its his take on other peoples songs, his reworking of Hendrix's Purple Haze and beautiful take on Leonard Cohen's Sisters of Mercy, where the album really takes off. To sum up, great album.

This is a great album. Great covers , beautiful understated music.
If you thought Dion only did Rock and Roll give this a listen, you will be well rewarded.

abraham, martin and john always brings a tear to my eye.
i also love the marvin gaye version.
