5.0 out of 5 stars Due South Deserves 5 Stars
Having watched this excellent series on TV the first time around I was very pleased to get series one for Christmas and have just ordered Series two. It's such good entertainment and brilliantly scripted with great plots. The humour and characters are what makes it - the relationship between Ray and Ben is very believable and its such a shame that the actor who plays Ray...

1.0 out of 5 stars Only one episode
This is not Due South Series 1, it is only the first episode. Irritating waste of money, wouldn't have bought otherwise.

Brilliant! What more can I say......used to watch this series when I had TV many years ago and have now introduced it to my daughter who just loves it. Didn't quite read the information properly and despite also buying Season Two will now need to go back and buy the full Season One Series, what a shame:> The series has really stood the test of time and is just as good now as it was then - pity they didn't keep the original "wolf", we thought he was better looking, especially those eyes. Would certainly recommend this to anybody who was looking for something different from your run of the mill crime series. It has it all, humour, good acting and interesting storylines, not to mention the good looks of both Benton and "Dief" and the rapport between Benton and Ray. What more could you want from a series?

5.0 out of 5 stars Due South, 19 Jan 2011
This review is from: Due South: Series 1 - The Pilot [DVD] (DVD)
This is a very entertaining drama which takes place in Chicago. The two main characters are the deceptively naive Benton Fraser and his cyncial partner Veccio. Benton is a Canadian Mounty who came to Chicago initially to trace his father's killer. He succeeded in his mission. Unfortuately, one of the people involved in the killing was "one of his own" a fellow Mounty and that rendered him png among his colleagues. So he returned to Chicago to work with Veccio. Fraser is unfailingly polite and honest, and the true Samaritan. His life companion is his endearing and intelligent wolf Diefenbaker (named after the Candadian Prime Minister of that name) who became deaf in the course of saving Fraser's life. A good mix of the truly evil and the truly good. Worth many watches.
