Not the saw reviewed/pictured.,

The saw pictured (and presumably reviewed) is no longer the saw shipped. The saw I received has different locking mech, and is black and green The saw I received is absolutely pathetic. The blade is flimsy, and bends so much in the cut that almost every other pass jams. Complete junk. Avoid.

I read the reviews on here when looking at this saw.The reviews were glowing apart from one purchaser, who said they have changed the saw, well guess what? The saw I received whilst having the same product code (260331) as the one in the picture, is the green and black one with the different blade locking mechanism. It's the saw described by the reviewer who gave it a poor rating. Ok, I thought I'd give it a go anyway you never know, that reviewer might have been unlucky. So I toddled off into the garden to find a suitable piece of wood to try it on. I cut a few pieces with my Bahco Laplander, then I took out the Silverline and tried it on the same pieces. Straight away I was aware that it was cutting ok, but not as good as the Bahco. Then I felt something prick the end of my finger, I took the saw out of the small log I was cutting for a closer look. The black plastic "rocker switch" style blade lock had broken and a piece of it fell out onto the ground. Whilst I was holding the handle horizontally the saw blade dropped to a vertical position, lightly catching my fingers. I folded the blade into the handle, then pulled it out again, but the blade would not lock out at all, which makes the saw useless! Conclusion: The saw as it stands is a complete and utter waste of money! Not only that, but it's actually a waste of materials (please have a look at "The Story of Stuff"), and the time and effort that it took to design and make it! And, if someone did try to use it with a broken catch, they would stand a very good chance of having their fingers badly cut by the folding blade. I will be contacting the seller to return the saw for a refund!

Excellent folding saw. Well made and ideal for sawing off the odd branch or two. Now I have bought a folding saw, I would not be without it.

Bought for my camping enthusiasts. It was good for small branches but hopeless at the larger sizes it claimed to be able to cut through.

cheep to buy and cheep to use, fairly thin blade so it bend easy and the teeth do straighten after little use and become useless, so you keep setting the teeth after a few branches. so its ok for little use ones a year or so.

I bought this primarily from reading reviews and have not been dissapointed. Incredibly sharp saw, which dealt with small sturdy shrubs with 1.5 inch braches with ease. I think this small saw could chop down trees!Fantastic value for money, fast delivery (within 2 days) recommend to everyone.

Perefect for lopping off those branches that need a saw with a little attitude. Great quality which makes light work of pruning shrubs & trees.

Love this saw. It's comfortable to use and nicely compact. Goes through branches very quickly which is good, you don't want to be spending eons sawing away! Highly recommended!
