The stands that arrived are light grey plastic. Pretty sturdy plastic but none the less plastic, the image suggests welded joint metal. As far as plastic stands go they are quite sturdy, they do flex slightly when doing push-ups but not enough for you to worry about them giving way, just more give in them than metal stands.

If your looking for sturdy metal stands look elsewhere, if you are looking for a cheap set of stands and don't mind a bit of flex these are for you.

The stands are ok. They get the job done.

Although they're standard push up stands I have a couple issues with them.

The first is the comfort of them on your hands. Even though they are covered with a bit of foam padding to protect your hands and give you some grip, they're still a little uncomfortable. The padding is quite thin so you feel like you're gripping stand frame directly.

The second issue is that they FEEL very flimsy with them being made from plastic. I've not had any problems with them breaking or anything like that but I just have this horrible feeling that it's more of a case of When and not if they collapse beneath me during a workout.

Having said all of that, they do what it says on the tin and at this price, you can't really go wrong!

The stands came as per the picture. You just have to screw the feet to the arch.

They have helped my daughter practice her Russian straddle pike and straddle lever to handstand.

They are light weight.

Exactly as pictured, metal push-up stands. As another reviewer has mentioned, they slip on laminate flooring so that's worth considering, but they feel excellent quality items which I am sure will last.

They look and feel cheap but they do a good job. They make a huge difference for me as you can do as many push ups as you like without hurting your shoulders or wrists.
