The unit is small, sturdy and well built. I am using this to pre-view box loads of slides before archiving digitally. I didnt want to spend a lot of money as I will probably not use this again after I am finished.
The view of the slide is enlarged sufficient to determine whether it is worth scanning the slide to computer. I estimate the magification is approx 2x.
I can recommend this product as a relatively cheap and reliable slide viewer.

Having recently inherited a large number of 35mm slides, I needed a small slide viewer to assess the need for transferring to CD/DVD. This little slide viewer is very well built - not at all flimsy - and is perfect for the job. I would highly recommend it for reviewing old slides.

What you pay for is what you get, this is the exception, quality of product is worth twice the price.

I bought this little viewer to help sort out a few hundred slides from decades ago.
Perhaps a little pricy, but the machine does a splendid job and I have no complaints about it. It is robustly built and does the job it was designed for very well. It's light, compact and smoothly finished - its stout plastic outer body is sturdy and gives confidence when in use. I would recommend it without hesitation.

The viewer is not fit for purpose when trying to view slides with card frames, the space within the viewer is too small thus when trying to view them they bend.

Fully agree with all positive points. In addition, it does both 35mm and larger older 126? slides.Only problem i had was the switch, which is activated by pressure from pushing the slide down onto a metal contact. It bent and potentially damaged some older thin paper edged slides i have as it required a lot of pressure to push down. Regarding 'getting stuck', there is a lip there to wedge the slide in, to keep the light on without having to keep it pushed down. Overall a good item. I'm pleased with it.

I really love this viewer. I was confused at first because it requires 2 AA batteries. Then I had trouble getting slides out which is solved by pressing them towards you and pressing down. I spent a few happy hours looking at my father's slides which I have inherited and am very pleased.

As with another reviewer, I have thousands of slides and no way of quickly and cheaply sorting through them when looking for a particular slide. This does the job at a sensible price. I would however say that at 50mm x 60mm a slightly larger screen area would make it really good. T.H.W5

Had inherited over 1500 slides which needed assessing ,then drastically reducing finally transferring to digital media. Looked at very expensive units to achieve this but finally decided on the Kaiser Diascop mini 3 2010.
Simple viewer, reasonably priced and although disciplined you to look carefully at each slide suited my purposes exactly.
Quite simply 'Just the Job' and seller was 1st class in every way. Service and product excellent.Kaiser Diascop mini 3 2010

Very basic but works ok. Beware, magnification of X3 effectively produces a slide image going from ~2cm x 3,5cm to ~3,5cm x 5,5cm. Still rather small and useful only for checking slides.
