Another item bought for my mother for making greeting cards. The cutter is primarily designed for trimming photographs and the guidelines help to cut the standard sizes such as 5x7 and 6x4 quickly and easily. There is a multitude of different scales in metric and good old-fashioned inches. It is robust enough to cut card of about 200g weight for making greetings card blanks with ease. Nice smooth cutting action and a good crisp edge to the cut without any feathering. The supplier got the item to us very quickly too. Just the Job!

Very pleased with it - light, neat, handy and portable. Does the job cleanly, while comprehensive guides help you trim the paper in the right place.

Works well. The Stop end could be higher to make sure you get a straight cut, it is easy to overlap the end.

I just bought it and I cut my own business cards and some of my own prints. The cuts are sharp and clean even for very small adjustments on 300gsm paper. I'm very pleased with it. It's pretty robust and I bet it will last in time. Good price and good quality.

The markings on the base are a real boon for trimming photographs to the "standard" sizes.

Has a good positive feel to the action when trimming.

Good value for money.

This is a fine cutter but I would advise checking the rulers. I found, after a frustrating hour wondering where I was going wrong that a 6.0cm cut was actually cutting at 5.9cm. Once I had worked this out it was great.

Bought this for use at home and it does the job well but I don't think it's robust enough for office use, however, the price reflects this. The cutter guide does move a bit but once you're aware of this it's easy enough to make sure the cut is where you want it to be. Would buy again if I needed to.

The trimmer worked first time out of the box. It cuts all thickness of papers/card without no jagged edges (I have used up to 300gm thickness without any problems). It is a first rate trimmer, one of the best I have used for a long time. It does the job it was made for.

Not impressed with this cutter. The blade does not slide smoothly, paper not easy to line up straight, not easy to see exactly where the cut will be. Construction feels cheap. Persevered for a few weeks & eventually returned it to Amazon for a refund.

I have a big A3 Rotary Paper Trimmer which is really good for it's job, but the length of the bar means that the blade often jumps out of alignment and small pieces of paper jump out and get cuts in the wrong direction and tears instead of clean cuts.

This Avery trimmer is a bit smaller and a bit more rigid. The smallest thing I've cut in it is a label for a framed photograph, 2cm deep. The clear plastic guard clamps even tiny bits of card well so the cut is clean and straight.

I haven't tried piling up lots of sheets of paper - i mostly use it to trim single pages and photographs and get really straight lines and clean edges, and it does that really well. Usually, these lower cost trimmers aren't good at more than 5 sheets of paper but I don't need to go industrial so it is a good trimmer at a good price
