Good solid build product. Bought 2 from Amazon (seller) and works perfectly with Windows Vista. Flawless design exactly like PS2 gamepad.... Just plug in and Vista immediately recognises the pad. Then insert the CD and install the software to enable the force feedback (vibration). However some games do not work with vibration. Also some games are not compatible with this gamepad.... e.g. Beyond Good and Evil doesn't work with this pad

Not bad for the price. Shaped identically as a PS2 controller, and works well with vista. Although not exactly to the same quality as a PS2 controller it does do its job just fine. The direcetion pad can be a bit awkward at times, especially playing pro evo, as instead of moving in a straight line you move to an angle untill you readjust. Finally the shoulder buttons work fine but again is not as smooth as a PS2 controller.

I used to have a playstation before I moved onto PC (Linux Ubuntu 8.04), and loved how ergonomically designed the playstation gamepad was. With its integrated rumble feature, I believed it to be the greatest advance in game controllers for the time. This Saitek P480 Gamepad (PC) is virtually identical. The only difference that I noticed is that the buttons are labelled with letter and number, not the copyright Playsations button symbols. While you can get emulators to make a playstation gamepad work on a PC, this saitek version is by far the nearest you will get. Very good response, timing, and accurate rumble feature. Enclosed in the product's box is a driver installer and info CD-ROM for those who have difficulty installing the gamepad. If you are unwilling to go the emulator route with the Playstation gamepad, then the Saitek P480 is your next best option. Overall, if you like gaming, I highly recommend this product. The seller also dispatched this product very quickly.

I bought this pad for Christmas, and recommended it to a friend, and it has served me well until now. However I started to get problems with the analogue sticks where a minor movement to the right would be interpreted as if I had pushed the stick as far as it would possibly move. This made any games requiring an analogue stick unplayable as the character would shoot off to the right when I only wanted to make a small movement.

I bought another of these pads before this problem occurred and am going to reserve further judgement until I've tried out this pad for a while.

What I would say though, is that considering the price, while it worked, it was a great pad and comfortable to use. Another advantage is that I have not had any issues connecting more than one of these to a computer. Don't necessarily be put off by my problems as there will always be a faulty controller when this many are produced. However, just take this fact into consideration when purchasing it.

I have only been using this gamepad for a couple of hours, but I have found that this is an excellent budget controller. Although I have noticed that the force feedback/vibration from the controller is fairly weak, even on its strongest setting.
The controller feels very sturdy in the hand and has no annoying creaks unlike some other controllers I have used.
Windows XP will automatically detect the controller, and so will Linux, however I have found that WinXP needs the driver disk to enable the vibration. I assume that this will be the same with vista.

Overall this is a very good controller for people who do not want/need a wireless controller, highly recommended!

So I read a couple of reviews that this gamepad is garbage and the arrows basically do not work. And I thought "It can't be that bad". Well I just bought two of these and the arrows just don't work. I literally could only move in diagonals even though I pressed just one direction. And most of the time I got no reaction at all. But that's what you get for buying the cheapest gamepads.

Saitek P380 Gamepad (PC) I bought this product as a gamble to play a retro game of Sensible Soccer. For this game I am more familiar with full extension single handed controllers, but having used Playstations for yonks, I decided to try it out. It is a sturdy joystick with usual Playstation style controls and all buttons are responsive. The 2 wobbly controllers are a little on the smooth side (thumb pops off a tad too much when doing 360 turns)so a slightly softer compound would have worked better. Simple Plug and Play worked well (no hiccups). Overall i'll give this 4/5 as this score takes into consideration the very cheap price. Would I buy another - Yes if the need arose!!

This was pretty cheap, so I was suspicious about the build quality; but I usually like Saitek kit, so I bought it. Control sensitivity was great, and the shape was very good ergonomically, but the top of one of the joystick 'mushrooms' broke off after a couple of months' (not particularly hard) use. Buy an XBox Controller instead. They work for PC as well as XBox, feel good in the hands, have rumble feedback, and are much much more sturdily built.

I've already got an xbox controller for my laptop but i needed an extra controller so I could play against my mates. The P480 is a good choice cause it functions perfectly, feels a lot like a ps2 controller and if it breaks it isn't such a lose because you didn't have to break the bank for it.

product arrived on schedule, but the driver disc was cracked, on contacting seller, they stated this was not their problem, and that I should contact Amazon. If this is customer service, then their site to myself, no longer exists.
