Great strings for a first try at medium gaugue,
This review is from: Martin M150 Medium Acoustic Guitar strings, Martin & Co (Electronics)
This was my first time trying out medium strings, and the price of these meant that it wasn't much of a gamble. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the strings sound clean and rich. You won't be disappointed. If you're new to medium strings they are a little hard on the fingers at first, and a little harder to play. But the improvement in tone is well worth it. Martin strings are great quality, cheap strings - and well worth buying. But if you're looking to buy some more expensive, long-term strings; I would recommend going for Elixir medium acoustic guitar strings. They last a lot longer, and feel a lot nicer, but are probably getting on for twice the price.

Depending on how much you play, these strings vary..they're a great cheap option if your a beginner and just getting a feel for the guitar or your skint and need some strings..but long term your better off getting elixir's, a)because they sound better and b)because they last much much longer. The martins lasted me about a week, then went dead but i play a lot! Still, for cheap strings they do a very temporary job very well!

Medium Gauge Strings,

Having previously only used Martin Light strings (red packaging) I thought I would try something new and go for the heavier 'medium' strings. What can I say... these are great!Good, high quality strings which gives a more distinctive tone than their thinner brothers. It's not a MAJOR difference than the lighter strings, but noticeable nonetheless. Martin make some great and affordable strings, comparable to some of the more expensive brands. Anybody looking to challenge their fingers with thicker strings (compared the the lighter versions), these are a great buy. Highly recommended and will buy again.

Good set of strings at an affordable price. Whether being picked or strummed they sound great and there doesn't seem to be constant tuning needed

These strings are fantastic - I have had my guitar for a lot of years , this is the first time I have had Martin strings only to my misfortune ! I wish I had started using them years ago .These strings produce a incredible soft luck tone . Thank you

Good sound - not outstanding though,
As a set of strings these are not the best in the world. Yet for the price these are a GREAT purchase! I am really happy with them and would happily buy them again. However, if you are really after something special, spend more money.

Really cheap and good quality, the thickest string is bit hard to dealt with, bit hard, if you are a biginer, dont go for Medium guage, go for smaller version

Old Faithful !!,

I started using these strings about 25 years ago. I've tried others, including twice-the-price Elixirs which many seem to rave about, but I always come back to these as they have a crisp and clear and rounded tone and reasonable longevity. I currently have them on 2 of my three acoustics, a Takamine EAN10C and an oldish Seagull S6 and they sound great on both.
