My 6 month old has enjoyed this toy for past 4 months. Its great to look at and my little one loves the feel of it. They attach onto other toys, bags and car seats well. I have three similar Lamaze toys and i never leave the house without at least one of them.

This item is fake. On the sellers photos the front of the toy is of the fake received, the back is of a real toy.

I have a real Freddie and was buying a second for a friends baby, on receipt I thought it did not look the same, so compared the two and you can tell the fake. It is poor quality and potentially dangerous DO NOT BUY

I didn't think babies could have 'favourite' toys but this is the one which makes my daughters face light up each time, she loves every bit of Freddie and he can keep her occupied for a very long time. I've now started to send a Freddie to friends as gifts for their babies as it's something that will last much longer than an item of clothing and gives the baby more pleasure!

I bought this toy as it looked like it would hold my attention as well as my baby's! It did the trick as there are so many little details on it. Alongside the bright colours, which were great for my newborn as he is not able to feel the different materials yet, the back is black and white which he spends forever gazing at. Having bought the lamaze monkey also, Freddie has much more to do, including a mirror under one wing-great for peek-a-boo!

The black and white wing side of this was the only thing that would distract him on the changing table (he hated being changed) as a newborn. Four months on it's still his favorite toy; he loves it!

It took my son quite a while to show interest in playing with toys so I think he's a late starter with things like this at 5.5 months. As soon as he showed interest I was ready to buy this and the giraffe (also by Lamaze). Out of the two I think this is his favourite, I can tell this because it's straight in his mouth and he loves to curl his fingers so that the fabric makes sounds. This one just seems easier to play with for some reason.

At the moment he's yet to discover that there's a pocket on one of the wings with a paddle in it and he's also not worked out the squeaker in one of the other wings but hey it's great to chew on ha!

A bright vibrant toy that caught his eye the second it came out of the wrapper. The big handle means he can hold it easily but it could also be clipped onto something (this I haven't tried yet). He's had it a week and everytime I wave it in his general direction he leans right over for it. Well worth getting and I'm very pleased with it and I think he is too!

Bought this for my 2 months old son. he was more attracted to the black&white back side at first but is now (4 months) playing with the peek-a-boo mirror.
Very often falls asleep in the pushchair with the rings in his hands (in case it would fly away maybe ;))

This is by far my daughter's favourite out of the six Lamaze toys, although the peacock comes a close second. We hung it on her rainforest activity gym and she loves to chew on the wings and red teether. She enjoys pulling on the firefly's legs and squeaking the blue button on the wing, not to mention putting her hand through the ring and pulling it towards herself. The wings make a rustling sound and part of the wing reveals more of the mirror on the wing. Initially my daughter liked the black and white part of the wings and now she enjoys looking at the bright colours which Lamaze toys are noted for. I can't recommend this toy enough. My daughter has found new bits to play with on the firefly over the last five months. We let her play with it since she was six weeks old.

Followed the hype and bought one for our 3 month old baby girl ... so glad we did. Freddie rocks! He's big enough to be huggable by a small baby ... has lots of crinkly, squeaky, chewable, rattling, shiny, colourful bits and can also be hung from your baby's play gym or cot mobile or car seat handle or anywhere else really. He's acting like my baby's security blanket/lovey now and she loves to hold him on her chest while dozing off for her afternoon naps. (I remove Freddie for the nights as he really is quite crinkly and don't want to risk waking up baby!)
All in all, one excellent purchase .... Freddie follows us around wherever we take baby ...and often DH and I find ourselves playing with him more than our baby :P
two thumbs up ... go for it!
