My parents bought this for our son for Christmas, and although it says ages 0-6 months on the box he's only just beginning to be able to use it now at 3 months. Previously he was too small & his arms and legs couldn't even reach the floor, let alone spin the turntable! A more accurate age guide would probably be 2-3 months up. That said the colours are really bright and catch his attention and the mat has a number of activities to play with even without the turntable, including a mirror, a crinkly leaf, and a peek-a-boo bug.

Edit: my son is now 9 months old and never used the turn table as by the time his arms and legs had the strength and co-ordination to move it around he was too big for it and could also roll over on his own and therefore fall off. The mat itself is a great hit with him though as he loves exploring all the activites. In conclusion you may be better off just buying an activity mat as in my experience the turn table itself isn't really suitable for any age bracket :(

An excellent idea for tummy time, however our baby girl (4 months) is probably too young as the spinning sensation currently frightens her - will keep trying it with her but expect it will be a couple more months before she really gets some quality use and fun out of the spinner - that said she is quite happy using the mat for playtime with the various mirrors and attached activities.

I saw this at a baby sensory class. My little one doesn't like tummy time but really enjoys this. Best decision to buy it

When put on the spinner baby actually enjoys tummy time and lasts a lot longer on tummy. Baby was able to rotate on the spinner unaided when we used it the second time. The gym toy are good, too, but baby is usually more interested in looking around when on the spinner.

I brought this 2 days ago and it arrived yesterday, the packaging was good and I love the service I know receive with the new couriers for amazon. However, I've only marked this as 4 stars because my daughter is classed through her height chart as an average of the 75th tallest UK baby from 100. I don't know whether the size of the mat seemed affected by her height but when I put her on this, the mat seemed extremely small so instead of her touching the mat she strops and tries to grab the carpet instead. I ordered a "1 normal" which ment nothing to me as it doesn't state anything different that I could find in the description. I also thought that the lady bug seat was some how able to connect and disconnect from the mat but that's not the case. It's simply just a put down on the yellow circle sort of set up. However for the price I paid and the service I received, it will just have to be a perseverance situation.

My daughter loves the spin and explore gym! She used to hate tummy time but after getting her this. She enjoys longer periods of tummy time which has strengthened her neck and head. A good buy!

Arrived super quickly after just 2 days, even with the free delivery 😀
I will need to build up tummy time gradually using this as baby gets tired quickly from holding his head up. We did get big smiles though, so it appears to be a hit. We have also taken the spinning centre away and let him lay on just the mat. He loves this because as he kicks his arms and legs, he is making noises as he makes contact with the different bits of the mat as they crinkle etc.
Well made, great idea and multi use. I recommend 😀

Although bought a few months ago, my little boy has only recently started to enjoy tummy time on this at the age of four months. As seen with a friend's son also, he took a long time to be able to rotate round for his enjoyment when exploring the different petals. He still only spends a small amount of time on the actual ladybird spinner, but I'm hoping he will manage going on there for longer as he gets older.
