5.0 out of 5 stars Hi Grade
Someone, somewhere at some time dreamed up the plot for this film. Coherence, realism and depth of character are all sacrificed on the altar of the wierdism as this delves into an acidic kaleidoscope of steamy asian sex. Naked bodies, splicing fingers, exploration of orifices and lots of coupling. All done within the limits of the 1970's, this is one sick puppy that needs...

3.0 out of 5 stars A disappointing follow up
Sex & Fury is a great film. If you are a completionist you will want to get both - but my advice is to forget this sequel. Plot and character development is sacrificed to pointless 'shock' tactics - which would be fine if there was a coherent story in there. As it is it just comes off as a rushed (same release year as Sex & Fury) and practically unwatchable follow up.

All done within the limits of the 1970's, this is one sick puppy that needs a final stroke to bring it to a climax.

It shifts from the surreal, to the grotesque with a strong pro woman message, in a land where women are both worshipped and horse whipped within everyday culture. The film follows a woman's quest for revenge after being violated.

So if you have over an hour to Kill Bill, then grab a whole lotta this, as a revenge movie this makes the hi grade, as plumes of smoke arise to heaven. It has a great deal to offer as it explores fetishism, power addiction, heroin addiction has some truly shocking moments locked within it. It also plunges its sword into the macho worlds of the Yakuza and formal Japanese etiquette whilst delivering a plinth to gaze a young women's bodies.

The musical soundtrack is Morriconesque except filtered through a Japanese sensibility.

Combine the two, pictures and sounds and you get a strange brew

A film to while away the time.
A sort of short story of girls bottoms and the things you can put up them
If that's your bag this is your film lots of bare breasts and jumping about daft but fun

5.0 out of 5 stars My Best Pinky Violence and Reiko Ike's Film, 12 July 2011

This review is from: The Female Yakuza Tale [1973] [DVD] (DVD)
In US and Europe, compared with "Sex and Fury", it seems that evaluation of this film is low.
"Sex & Fury" is my favorite film too.
However, "The Female Yakuza Tale" is a more favorite film, and considers that I am Reiko Ike's best work.
Many people who are evaluating similarly are in Japan.
The katana fight of Reiko Ike who becomes nudity by the beginning of a film while being dyed bloodshed is absurd and humorous - but, it's simultaneously beautiful and cool.

A battle of the climax filled by craziness is legendary.
Director Teruo Ishii's originality is wonderful and excellent.
He necessarily adheres to neither a historically exact thing nor the continuity of a story.
Each scene gives priority over a movie to becoming interesting rather than them.

This work and "Sex and Fury" are the leading masterpiece of Pinky Violence Film made at the time with which Reiko Ike matured and it was shining most.
Both of the two works are films with suitable being evaluated highly.

2.0 out of 5 stars i hoped for more, 11 May 2012

From reactions here i understood this was a powerfull film with not to much coherence. A pitty. The climax is one of a kind and not easy to forget. But for the rest the film was to busy telling a story. With acceptionel story's that's OK for me, but for the most i like my films cloudy and unrational, more like a dream. There were some nice images and ideas, but all the energy that went into storytelling made the film very boring to me.
