Crystal clear impeccable performance from the ModFather. This is Paul Weller in an intimate recording of songs from the "Studio 150" album. As well as a solo classic, and even the Style Council creeps in there.
There are some amazing cover versions Oasis "One Way Road", "Don't Make Promises You Can't Keep", the outstanding "The Bottle" and of course "Wishing On A Star". Each track is actually a gem, recording Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower", Weller seems to interpret Dylan's own version and Hendrix's version, whilst making it his own.
Some famous named backing singers here, Carleen Anderson and Joceyln Brown. This DVD also has the promo for the single "Wishing On A Star" as well as a VERY rare interview with lifelong fan and all things Weller expert Gary Crowley. There are also interviews with the band to boot.
All in all this is one heck of a promise and it is everything you want for a great night in.
It's Paul Weller, It's the Modfather, cover versions and all, a classic album, a classic concert. Top class!

What a fantastic concert, recorded with a small live audience, this captures Weller at his best. Any fan will find plenty to enjoy especially All along the watchtower, Hercules, One way road, Broken stones. I've been playing this constantly. Plus interview with Wellar, well worth adding to your collection. You feel as if you are there. Mega.

Think this album was released more to meet a contract requirements with his record company than any "artistic integrity" etc. Quite enjoyed his versions of some "classic" MOR tunes but hope it's a one-off.
