5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 1080p Cable
Very good affordable cable.

Have no problems with it. The quality is just stunning. Supports 1080p signals. Don't be cheated by Curry's/Comet into buying a more expensive cable. This one does the job to a very high standard and most likely even better than the ones they are selling instore..

Buyer Beware - you really do get what you pay for...

I bought these cables to connect up a Sony KDL-32W4000 TV, a Sony HT-SS1300 AV Amp, a Sony BD-S550 Bluray player and a Humax HDR Freesat recorder. They worked OK for the basic transmission of picture and sound, but I had all sorts of problems with the Bravia Sync control system. The TV would keep losing its...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value product, 14 Jun 2008
I have 2 of these cables, one for xbox 360 & one for a sony free view DVD recorder connected to Samsung 52" lcd tv.

The picture is perfect, i see no reason why you should spend any more money on a cable as it will not improve the picture quality.

I have had no issues with this product, the connections are sturdy and the cable has a quality look and feel.

The only thing that may be a problem is the length, this is not an issue for me as my dvd & xbox are on the tv stand shelf under the tv.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for connecting Blu-ray to TV, 3 Dec 2008
I have a Sony BluRay player and a Sony TV, this cable fits both fine and I had no problems with felixibility. Yes it is well packaged but so what? Ten seconds with a pair of decent scissors and voila all was well.

I would happily recommend this cable at this price.

What can one say about a cable. It links my telly to my satellite box. My only comment must be that at this price it does so very well giving an even better picture than the one I really thought could not be improved on.Having invested several hundred pounds on a new TV it would have been silly not to invest a further tenner on this item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cable, a real bargain, 21 Sep 2007
I bought this cable for my PS3. It fits perfectly and works brilliantly. The picture is crystal clear. The cable is a bit stiff but not really a problem. And at 10.99 is an absolute bargain when you see what some cables cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars STRONG Cable, 19 Mar 2008

Great HDMI cable. The quality is staggering. I use this with my Xbox360 and its just great. The picture quality and the sound are amazing. The cable is a bit on the short side though, so if your TV is mounted on you wall, you will probably need to put what ever your connecting to it on a shelf or something.

1.0 out of 5 stars Caveat Emptor!, 7 Jan 2009

Buyer Beware - you really do get what you pay for...

I bought these cables to connect up a Sony KDL-32W4000 TV, a Sony HT-SS1300 AV Amp, a Sony BD-S550 Bluray player and a Humax HDR Freesat recorder. They worked OK for the basic transmission of picture and sound, but I had all sorts of problems with the Bravia Sync control system. The TV would keep losing its HDMI Control functions and fail to recognise the other Sony components. Sometimes the TV remote would control the AV Amp, other times not - the TV reverting to its own internal speakers. Occasionally the Bravia Sync system became so confused I had to do a full reset on the TV.

After talking to Sony, they suggested that the HDMI cables were just not up to it. To be fair, Sony didn't try to push their own, much more expensive, cables; just that I needed High Speed, fully HDMI 1.3a spec ones.

So I have now bought the High-Speed PLATINUM HDMI Cable (Full-HD 1080p v1.3b 10.2Gbps) from HD Cables (via Amazon). Result? Everything is now performing correctly, but even better, the picture quality is far superior with much better detail, contrast and colour saturation.

So I cannot recommend these cables for anything other than a basic HD Ready setup.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality affordable cable, 28 April 2008
There's a bit of a debate in the industry as to whether there's any difference between budget and premium HDMI cables. Whilst i don't want to get caught up in the science side of things, i think we can all agree that a well made cable is always a plus.

This HDMI cable has a strong housing for the cable and solidly moulded terminations, whilst these may not improve the signal quality you can guarantee it won't harm it, and will provide a good solid long-lasting cable that won't suffer from connection problems later in life, and should also avoid the twisting effect you can sometimes get when bending cheap cables and losing signal.

This LINX HDMI Cable proved a very successful addition to my system, i used it for connecting my PS3 to my monitor and it worked a treat. Picture quality is great as i'd expect, but the build quality is equally impressive for a budget cable (I paid less than a fiver for mine) and well worth buying for all your HDMI sources unless your system warrants spending £50 on a Chord or Cambridge Audio cable.

Buy with confidence!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Perfect On PS3, 3 Oct 2007
Bought this item to conect my PS3 to my Samsung 26" HDTV which i recently bought off Amazon (for only 399.99 may i add Bargain!) I unplugged the old leads connected from my TV to my plastation and connected this one instead. When i turned the PS3 on it told me that a HDMI cable had been connected and sorted out all of the settings automatically. Picture is now amazing well worth a tenner. 5 Star
