I have had this hoover for 4 months now. It is top heavy and falls over when using tools, foot catch rarely works properly, clogs up very easily and to top it all off, burnt my very short carpet when in tool mode today.
I would not recommend this hoover AT ALL.

The reason people are finding Hoover not such a good buy there days is because Candy bought the Hoover name around 1996 [both American and British Hoover sold off]
The last decent Hoover made upright was a Turbopower 1, their 450 to 600 watt motors are powerfull enough to stick to the floor in user mode without falling over.[let go of the handle of a modern one and it falls over]
The also clean far better than todays cleaners if you have pets.
