Bought this along with my Sony DSC-W200 as it has 12.1 mega pixels the size of the images is relatively large so I needed large capacity storage. I have had it for over twelve months now & even when taking it on holidays have not managed to fill it.I have had no problems with it & would recommend it to anyone with a similar camera or indeed any device that requires storage of large files.

Brilliant capacity for the price but...,

...if you're an enthusiast I'd suggest a card with higher read and write speeds. While this card is frankly brilliant value for use in a PSP or standard digital camera it's read/write speeds might hinder a professional user. Other than this I really can't fault the card for it's price. Excellent value.

I messed up my feedback for the seller of this item, apologies to them for that, so I'm going to review it quickly. So far it has proven to be everything I wanted it to be. The camera recognised the card straight away with no problem, it saves photos very qiuickly so I am able to move on to the next shot without delay, and to date it has shown no signs of any inherent problems. It came with an adapter as well, which is an added bonus for me. It says that it's a genuine Sony item on the packaging, and it has one of those holographic stickers on it too. I'm no expert, but I think it's a genuine item, and it does what I bought it for, namley saving and storing photos. If as time goes by it proves to be of no use, or defective, then I'll revise what I've said here, but for now, as far as I'm concerned, I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a pro duo memory card at a reasonable price.

PSP problem with this card.,

Not specifically a problem with the card, more a problem with PSP firmware released on 31 oct 2007.Some games won't recognise any free space on the card if the amount of free space is over 2 gig. This means you can't save game data to a new card. To get around this, just put a 2 gig video file on there until you fill it up a bit. A bit annoying but it's the PSP not the card at fault. Hope this helps someone. |
