I must admit it wasn't what I was expecting, I think the cover gives an impression of being like a children programmes (Angelina Ballerina with real people!!) but the actual video is very bland, it starts with real footage of an adult sleeping beauty ballet, my 3 year old wasn't keen. It then goes onto an uninspirational and quite serious teacher in a plain studio teaching the steps to a small class for each fairy in the ballet. At the end the children do a performance, this is the only bit my daughter wants to watch, especially as you see them putting on their make-up and doing their hair. I feel the glittery, pink cover is a bit misleading. However I do think that my daughter will probably be inseparable from it when she is older and take full responsibility for possibly buying the wrong thing.

My daughter has had this video since just before she turned three, but she would have enjoyed it sooner. Its a lovely introduction to ballet, where the girls learn the simplified fairy solos from "Sleeping Beauty", including the wicked fairy! The story is explained, and danced in full at the start by "grown-up" ballerinas, and at the end the little girls whose rehearsals we have been following. My daughter and her friends show amazing poise and concentration, and never seem to tire of it. Highly recommended - buy several copies and solve all your birthday gift worries for the coming year!

My daughter got this for her fourth birthday. She and her 2 yr old brother have had a great time with it. They giggle their way through the warm up, but both follow it, and my daughter picked up the little dances really quickly. Her brother bounces about too! They also enjoy the performances and pick out their favourite fairies. Would recommend.

My three year old daughter is obsessed with ballet, but this failed to impress and really is a bit boring.

my two year old loves this watches it over and over again dancing round the living room. sleeping beauty ballet is broken down so your little ballerina can learn to dance.

Toddler goes to ballet classes and loves dancing. She lasted 5 min with this programme after which she escaped and we were relieved to turn it off!
Poor quality video, unengaging pace. Waste of money, would not recommend and would not buy again.

bought this for daughter nearly 3. it was three pounds so not expensive and at this price is excellent value. The teacher goes through several 'fairy dance' solos which make up part of the sleeping beauty ballet. She doesn't really teach the steps but does little sequences with her class which you then copy. if you are looking for something fun as a play item - this is a really good product.

My children found this very hard to copy off. They both have ballet lessons and did not find this useful at all!! From the title and reviews I thought it would help them!

My granddaughter watched this from beginning to end - wearing her Early Learning ballet outfit. She was engrossed and has been copying the moves. Very good value.

Excellent value and my grand daughters only 4 and 3 years both do ballet classes and just love to practice at home. The teacher was so lovely and encouraging.
