Excellent value for money. Easy to construct - was flying within minutes. Great kite for the novice flyer - was capable in strong winds too. Was confident enough to try a few loops within a hour or so of flying it. Want to try a bigger kite now!

This kite was easy to set up, and was an excellent introduction to stunt kite flying. My grandchildren loved it, and even the five year old was able to keep it up in the air with a little help from dad. The only problem was, after 45mins or so of flying in fairly brisk wind, the kite bowed in the wind and the horizontal cross strut fell out. We then spent another 45mins searching for, and fortunately finding, it.

I think this is probably a general design fault, so I didn't ask for a replacement. Before flying it again though, I have fixed the cross strut permanently at one side by winding a small amount of thread round the strut and then sewing it through the nylon socket. This only took a couple of minutes, so now the kite can still be folded, but the strut can't be lost. (I hope - it's untested as yet!).

I think it is worth making this small modification for a very inexpensive and fun kite. One other point worth mentioning is that the line that comes with the kite is only good for wind speeds up to 15mph. Had I known this I'd have ordered some stronger line as well at the time I bought the kite.

I bought this to fly with my son. Neither of us being experts of any description I went for the "cheap and reasonable looking" option. The kite met our expectation completely. It few and we had fun and remained in one piece for another go.

After a few minutes we worked out how to get it off the ground in moderately light wind (A decent amount of string and launch holding the base point in one hand). After a little while longer we managed to make it move around in the sky, my son even managing to make it skim the ground and swoop up. Locking the strings on the handles was a little awkward.

This is a basic kite so don't expect too much but it works well and ideal for novices like us.

Diamond Stunter. Bought for Christmas present for 8 year old son. Due to pants weather only resently used, on a very breezy day. Fab! after 10 mins and half dozens attempts my son was able to control kite on his own, diving left and right, figure 8s and climbing. I inserted cross strut under/behind main upright strut, after reading other reviews, had no probs. Will do the modification with thread as previously suggested, if becomes necessary. Only minus, item not well packed and some damage to plastic sleeve, but kite ok.

broke the first time out. thing fell apart lost rubber end which rendered it useless with out home made fix
to be fair though Amazon took it straight back and refunded no quibble

My advice is spend a bit more and get a better product or
buy the cheapest available expecting it to break some on amazon for £2

Excellent and cheap little kite. Perfect for kids or for a cheap present for adults! We had a great time keeping it up in the air!

The kite itself was fine- haven't flown it yet as it's a present but it is well made. The plastic sleeve it come in was damaged, but I could return it but not get a replacement without reordering. The whole thing was in a massive box that arrived in perfect condition so the damage was pre delivery Annoying but I've patched it up & hence dropped rating.
