5.0 out of 5 stars Album of the year? Possibly
It's dark. It's almost impossible to listen to in places. Yet, you cannot escape. It's almost a morbid fascination that forces you to listen as Plan B drags you into his raw, dark, unforgiving world. The guitar parts he plays bring an original sound to an over-crowded genre, and his delivery suits his lyrics perfectly. Each track is an experience, and the lightest track...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm....
I bought Ben's follow up album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, first and thought it was absolutely brilliant. I didn't want to be dissapointed by buying this one so avoided it for a while, but then gave in and went for it.
Wish I hadn't! Whilst there is no doubt Ben is a a very talented writer and producer, this one just went too far with the language for me...

3.0 out of 5 stars Plan B cd, 1 Feb 2011
Like one of the other Amazon customer reviews, I purchased this cd as I liked their other cd, Strickland Banks. I wanted their earlier cd and was pleased to see it had a previous hit 'Charmaine' on it.

However, it is much more raw than Strickland Banks. Be warned, the swearing is on a much higher level than Strickland Banks, in fact its really bad, which is a real shame as the music and songs are great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Up and Comin UK rapper, 4 July 2006
This review is from: Who Needs Actions When You Got Words (Audio CD)
This is a brilliant album which is original and a great example of how underrated the UK rap scene is...

If you liked the likes of Sway and The Streets You will love this..

be warned though of the extremely explict language and images in this cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK. I'm impressed...., 2 July 2006

brought this album expecting a pile of pants and was pleasantly suprised. it takes me back to when eminem was good, it makes me think that uk hip hop actually has some nuts. i wouldn't go so far to say its the best hiphop album i own but i really really like it and will definitly be rinsing it on my ipod.

the album is raw, the beats are dirty but still catchy and commercial, the lyrics are deep... nasty and just plain sick.

in short, nice album, definitly worth a buy

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice one blud, 9 Feb 2010
Quality bit of Streets like UK hip hop.

From start to finish this ablum grips you. Plan B is a real story teller with a lot more in his locker.

Defo worth the buy if you like the Streets and want something new to grace your CD player.

I was waiting for this album after hearing 'No good' ages ago. It doesn't dissapoint. Songs worth noting are 'Kidz', 'sick 2 def' and 'Dead and buried'. Great album, has been described as the bridge between UK hip hop and Indie music.

Childish, rude and un-musical. I really liked ill manors, but by comparison this is just lame. I can see why he shifted a gear to earn some cash with defamation and thank goodness he grew up a bit to make the aforementioned seminal album.
