I'm now 28 weeks pregnant and for the last couple of weeks I've started to get a painful back. Sometimes it has been so bad my husband has had to help me out of the chair/bed. I've been wearing this support for a few days now and all pain has disappeared completly (when wearing it). It supports the weight of your bump at the front and distributes it evenly across your back. I feel like I'm human again and not a 70 year old! Well worth investing in if you have a big bump which is causing you discomfort... and amazon are doing it £10 cheaper than mothercare. Bargain. The only reason I'm not scoring it 5 is because it is quite warm to wear (as it consists of two layers) and I'm not sure how I'll get on if the temperature increases again!

Brilliant product, worth every penny. Comfortable to wear and easy to follow instructions. I love the fact it is adjustable throughout pregnancy, the only bit that didnt fit was the strap that goes over the top but im not fussed on using that bit. Pelvic pain and hip pain is much better when wearing this.

A good product, has succeeeded in reducing my back pain over the past few weeks. Am currently 27 weeks pregnant, (was) a size 8 and continues to fit well. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that I had to cut down and sew up two of the front panels as they were too wide and irritated the tops of my legs.

I ordered this belt as being 7mnth pregnant i was beginning to feel the strain on my lower back. Whilst this did 'strap on' to seem supportive, it provided no relief from niggling back strain for me and didn't feel supportive while i was moving around either, quite dissapointing.Returning the item too was hasle as nexcare didn't respond to my returns request emails initially , i had to call their call centre and then email again before i was sent a returns label for the item - unusual as have never experienced such hassle returning an item i've purchased using Amazon before

Being 30 weeks pregnant and having pubic dysfunction and a trapped lateral cutaneous nerve, I have and still am in a lot of pain. The support is exactly what it is a support, its not a miracle cure but does ease the pain, which is better than no pain release.

This has given me absolute brilliant results. My spd is terrible and my pelvic is separating. But my back pain was horrendous too. This product made me do a happy dance with relief when first put on. Definitely stops that crunching sound in your back. But as for support it doesn't do much for the pubic bone if your having continuous clicking and running down there so I wear either Spanx underneath to cover all areas or tight maternity support briefs. I wear all day. But not to comfy and to wear in bed. But some nights I will wear it in bed and it helps my back stay straight. Out of all the bets in worn this is the best for support and pain. Maybe not the most subtle as it can be noticeable with some clothes: but it your in pain I don think that matters. OVerrall a good product

This product is ideal to relieve the pressure your bump places on ligaments and back. The issue with velcro irritating skin that some users relate seems to have been fixed now as one section completely covers the other and no velcro touches your skin.

I bought this as I was getting back pain and a bit of stitch-like lower bump pain at about 23 weeks, particularly when walking the dog for any length of time. The belt looks complicated at first but isn't really. The strap which goes under the bump is very comfortable, and easy to adjust, and I have worn it alone for a bit of bump support.

The biggest problem is the back support. Although it is really comfy at the back and can be pulled tight to give as much support as you need, it attaches to the under-bump strap round the sides with Velcro. The problem is that is you are small framed to start with (I'm a pre-pregnancy dress size 10, sometimes 12), you pull the sides in towards the front but the hard plastic Velcro of the back support doesn't completely fit onto the under-bump strap which is narrower at the front, so some of the Velcro is free to irritate your skin - very uncomfortable. It was also pointed out by another reviewer. I finally solved this by attaching a couple of strips of corresponding Velcro (from my sewing box!) across the free Velcro bits, i.e. I made the under-bump strap bigger, if that makes sense!

It should be OK I think for those who are a bit bigger than me, but can't be sure.

It's now very comfy, and really useful when doing longer walks with the dog - and has definitely helped with the aches and pains. It does show a bit under my work clothes, so I don't wear it all the time, and to be honest feels a bit bulky and unnecessary when sitting, so at the moment I use it mainly for planned walks. It is very adjustable, so I feel sure I'll use it even more as this bump gets bigger or the muscular pains get more frequent, and I might not need my Velcro add-ons by then..

I also bought an elasticated support belt to more discreetly fit under clothes for everyday use, and though is more discreet, it definitely doesn't provide as much support that this one does.

I am really impressed with this belt and the support it offers. Sometimes, the velcro rubs against your skin, which can be a little annoying, but this is easily rectified and a small price to pay for the comfort offered. It alleviated back pain immediately. Really, really happy. One missing star, as this is expensive, but well worth the money.

The product is faulty, the abdominal pad is too narrow and not compatible with the wider velcro strap. Therefore it is too uncomfortable to wear as the velcro rubs agains your skin. Physically and mentally irritating, if you are ordering this product you are probably in pain, then you have to go through the pain of returning it and purchasing an alternative, whilst suffering more pain! Although I did receive a full refund for the product, i got nothing for postage and packaging costs of returning the product. What a hassle!!
