Season 2 of Desperate Housewives is not as funny or entertaining as Season 1. Trying to hard to repeat the success of Season 1, the character of Susan becomes nothing more than a one-trick pony, who has gone from the lead of the show to being less interesting than the guest stars. The season also lacks Nicolette Sheridan's Edie, who doesn't even appear in some episodes.
However, performances from Marcia Cross's Bree, Felicitiy Huffman's Lynette, and especially Eva Longoria's Gabrielle, really make this season worth watching.
Huffan and Cross deliver exceptional performances as both characters are led into destructive mode as their lives are being ruined by family, alcohol, abuse, and unfaithfulness.
But the star of this season is Eva Longoria. Season 1 seen Gabrielle is the "pretty face" and "hot body" of the show. However Gabrielle goes on a real roller coaster in Season 2, leaving you laughing harder than other characters, crying harder than other characters, and wondering why Teri Hatcher is still getting the headline starring role.
