5.0 out of 5 stars Sonja Still Knows How To Progessively Rock.
An excellent album chock full of intelligent rock songs, (what else?), from the former (and lately re-union'ed) Curved Air vocalist, and about the only decent rock-chick pin-up we had throughout the length and breadth of the 1970's; Sonja Kristina. Still a superb vocalist and lyric writer, she has a few 'old buddies' on here like Colin Townes, Darryl Way and Alfie Agius,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not lasted the test of time
After the great years of the seventies listening to Curved Air, I was hoping this CD would recreate a little of that magic, the great voice, imaginative lyrics, stunning stage presence and heart stopping electic violin - perhaps taste change or I just got older. Pleasant enough but not a knock out.

Still a superb vocalist and lyric writer, she has a few 'old buddies' on here like Colin Townes, Darryl Way and Alfie Agius, so it goes without saying there are a few (welcomed) echoes of the old Curved Air sound more than prevalent throughout the tracks. The 3 Bonus Tracks, 2 written by Way and the other, Sonja's superbly updated cover of Burt Bacharach's 'Walk On By,' seem to have a heavier edge to them, which for me makes a great end to a very satisfying and enjoyable album.

The first solo album from Sonja. Having only recently discovering the greatness of Curved Air, I am now enjoying the joys of listening to their wonderful singer Sonja Kristina. Her vocals are full of atmosphere, joy, emotion, everything. The musicianship is great also.
