I sat down to do this puzzle, never having done a 1000 piece puzzle before. I gave up. My husband sat down and didn't get up again except to eat and a little sleep. He has 25 more pieces to go now. He is fascinated with this puzzle. The buildings are all a bit tiny and squashed together which makes it more difficult. Finished it is a beautiful puzzle. This puzzle is a 10 according to my husband. Plus he is learning more about London. He was in London several times, but this puzzle has just so much included in the picture.

As jigsaws go, this is quite an interesting one. The London skyline seems to be up to date and we enjoyed getting an overview of where the different areas of London related to each other. Most pieces you could locate and place with a little effort. No vast skies or blocks of plain bits, which is what I look for in a jigsaw.

Just fancied doing a jigsaw and this caught my eye. If you love London, then you should find this a nice one to do. Lots of buildings/landmarks to spot!Quite a good challenge, without any chance of it getting too frustrating. (though I haven't finished it yet!) I may have a go at the London - Looking South one next! Very good quality.

This is exactly the kind of jigsaw I love, even though it is simultaneously exactly the kind of puzzle that leaves me wanting to pull my hair out through sheer exasperation. The scene depicts London, and whatever your degree of familiarity with our capital you are sure to recognise some of the landmarks. The Gherkin stands glimmering in the centre and the Thames winds in all its merry blue glory across the board. I recognised these features of course, but I didn't recognise many others. If I had I might have been able to complete the puzzle a lot quicker. Geographical knowledge is definitely an advance in this instance, as while the image is fun and quirky, it is also very detailed and so if you have a rough idea of where the Gherkin lies in relation to the Millennium Bridge you will find yourself at an advantage. Working on this puzzle is a good way to find out more about London. It is reasonably up to date and emphasises the sheer variety of architecture the city is home to. The detail in the image is mind boggling, and I enjoyed finding the flashes of forest green and duck egg blue that marked out the parks and gardens amongst the hard shades of onyx and granite that denote the buildings. In its completed form the puzzle measures a satisfying 68.5 x 49cm, so it is small enough not to engulf a table but big enough that the pieces are not too miniscule to easily lose. This puzzle, added to the fact that it comprises 1000 pieces, is not easy to complete but it is original amongst the Renaissance landscapes and garish novelty scenes I have seen a lot of. I would imagine that many of these are sold to tourists in London, and I can understand how it would make an excellent souvenir. The quality of the pieces is outstanding, and they feel slightly thicker than that of an average game, making the image all the more crisp as it slots together. You can also feel the quality in the weight of the box and the high definition of the image. The artwork is second to none, and I will definitely be looking up the artist, Christopher Rogers, to see what his other works are like. Cityscapes are certainly an area I would like to puzzle over further, and I recommend you do, too.

A great puzzle, quite difficult. There are a lot of straight lines/windows/buildings, makes your eyes cross if you do it for too long! But overall, very good and very interesting.
