I'd give this 3.5 out of 5. The main thing speakers do is produce sound. Given that these are small portable speakers, the sound clarity is good, plenty of mids and highs, but unsurprisingly, it lacks any real low frequencies which spoils the mix in my opinion. The actual maximum volume is a little disappointing, and the speakers distort at this level. My other gripe is the cheap looking power button and volume slider.
On the plus side though, the thing looks pretty slick, holds all types of ipods (with little plastic inserts), supports a wide variety of international power plugs, and has good battery life.
All in all, I would perhaps look at saving up and getting the IM3 for that improvement in sound - I am starting to wish I had.

Well built, matches my Ipod (60Gb) very well. The sound is clear and fills a room out of all proportion to the size of the speakers. Compact enough to travel in backpack or luggage and sit on any hotel room surface. Reproduction is better at Travelling Wilburys than Led Zeplin but you would need 2-3 times the physical size to improve on that aspect. You can sync while Ipod is in Dock and the beast has an aux input for a radio or other. Flexible and Highly Recommended!
