I've always liked Fatboy Slim and having lost my copy of Weapon Of Choice was persuaded into buying this.
It is so good should bring a smile and ray of joyful sunshine to a dull day. I like to listen to it on the tube on my way to work because it makes me smile and tap my foot which unnerves fellow travellers but puts me in a good mood before I reach the office!
Excellent selection of some top tunes from a top DJ!

Could not believe I knew so many Fatboy Slim songs. This is one of the best CD's I have ever listened to. Absolute classic.

Despite my tastes in dance music not being truly off-the-scale, the one person whose never failed to disappoint is Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim. Although once a member of The Housemartins, its here where Cook gained international stardom.

Nearly every single is to be found here, albeit some are missing and its not in chronological order either but whats on offer here is enough to wet your appetite. Including such smash hits as Right Here, Right Now, Praise You, The Rockafella Skank, Weapon of Choice and Sunset (Bird of Prey), Why Try Harder? is certainly one for a first time buyer.

I think the only gripe here is the length of the tracks, although they're cut down for commercial reasons, this doesn't really prepare you for the length of some the songs on his albums. There's also a couple of songs here that aren't Fatboy Slim ones, but rather ones mixed by Cook (Cornershop's Brimful of Asha and Groove Armada's I See You Baby).

I was really intrigued to see the DVD, and to be honest, there's not much to them, apart from the obvious bunch (Weapon of Choice, Praise You and Right Here, Right Now), everything here is low budget stuff and sometimes these videos just don't go with the songs (Gangster Trippin' being a good example). But it does feature some of the songs that aren't on the cd, so its all well good for those who complain.

Of course, my favourite song will forever be The Rockafella Skank, but this is eighteen songs of Ibiza fuelled anthems ready to kick start your weekenders. Recommendable to first time listeners.

Once again another brillant selection of songs from Fat Boy Slim on this greatest hits collection. You will know almost all of these tunes from back in the day, for me Bird Of Prey is my top tune here don't ask my why because I don't know it just is.

I have been listening to Norman's music for many years as he has gone through numerous guises.

This really is the greatest hits from his "Fatboy Slim" guise. From the start of Rockafella Skank all the way through thru Praise You and Weapon of Choice. This album just rocks...... (It even has the excellent remixes from Cornershop's "Brimful of Asha and Groove Armada's "I See You Baby" a.k.a. the Renault Megane ad.....)

The DVD contains a number of the videos to these. I really love the Spike Jonze video for Weapon of Choice, with Christopher Walken dancing in the hotel. An absolute classic.

The title to this album just sets it off. "Why Try Harder"? Why indeed, when the tracks are perfect as they are....

Norman is a true musical genius......

After admiring Roland Rivron strutting his stuff around to "weapon of choice" I thought I would try a little more fat boy slim. Entertaining repetative rythms took me back to the synth bands of my formative years one track more so, back to my brutus jeans probably listening to the rah band. Good purchase.

I am not a massive follower of Fatboy Slim or the big beat scene, and knowing very little about the house/acid/techno genres which preceded it, I am unfit to pass judgment on much of his work. However, I very much enjoyed this collection of his most well-known tracks and would recommend it to casual fans as well as long-time loyalists.

Ok I am a huge fan of rock and indie music ordinarily but I saw an advert for this album in a magazine, I remembered the excellent video for "Praise You" by Spike Jonze and remember enjoying the song, so I did some digging. Looking down the track listings for this album, it occured to me not only did I recognise all of the songs but I actually liked them all as well. That in a nut shell is the brilliance of this greatest hits collection, 16 classics all with huge cross over potential. With the summer coming up this is a perfect soundtrack to the holidays. It's definitly going to be nestled amongst my Muse, Queens of the stone age ..ect... Cd's on my lads holiday to Spain.

Best track: Theres a loads but I guess my favourite is Sunset~

Worst track: Probs the new ones

Best thing: It's an awesome summer record

Worst thing: Some songs can drag a bit

4/5 Buy it...
