3.0 out of 5 stars A Bad Place To Go Surfing, 25 April 2011
Mr. R. Domar (Wolves) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Trespassers [DVD] [2005] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
Plot. A surfer finds the perfect beach in Mexico. He phones his brother to come. The brother with some friends set out to join him but it's a long journey which takes them through some weird places but eventually they arrive at the beach. They set up and are not too worried that there is noone to meet them.
I wasn't really sure what the purpose was of having the kids drive through the weird places but maybe it was just filler to introduce us to the characters.
What follows in this mystery horror is very dialogue driven, most of which isn't too bad. As the group try to make sense of what is going on. Two go to the local village where they get a bit of exposition about the area.
The action/horror comes in the last act with a bit of blood and mild gory visuals. Entertaining enough but very average fare with not enough horror. One complaint is that some of the night scenes were too dark and the use of shaky camera was more confusing than scary.
Extras just a trailer. USA Release Region 1
