This album is superb,a real good way to get their music out there.Unfortunately i was to young to see them live but i do have a couple of lps,i will admit my favourite band is the smiths but the chesterfields are so true and iconic of the period i have always loved them. The first song i heard was" johnny dee" when i was 9.This album represents a time when music was proper 3 min jangly pop songs, its the first comp album for a while that all 27 tracks are quality. The last band i heard who were similar was "the upper room" so if that was your cup of tea this is for you.

At last, a Chesterfields retrospective putting the band where they belong, a kind of middling position in the jangly 80s scene. I saw them at Stourbridge Town hall many years ago, they were great then , and they still are. if you're thinking of buying this, you already know what they're like. perfect for this (and any other) summer.

Arrived in time and in great condition. I feel that this compilation is not the best that could have been released, fans will know which tracks are missing, should not be on there. Though all in all it is great to listen to the Chesterfields in the car, now i do not have a cassette player it it anymore.
