21 Number Ones

I wanted a CD of Kenny's best hits, and this one fitted the bill - almost. The only track it doesn't have is probably his most famous of all - Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town.

The other tracks are a delight, especially the duets, and reminds us why we love the husky voice and storyline lyrics of this great man.

A great CD to listen to when you're in a quiet mellow mood, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine - or two!

I was expecting this to be a compilation of the singles. Sadly a big let down. Most of the arrangements are different to the originals and not as good.

Loved it! All the old songs and he really has a wonderful voice! Reconverted to country and western music.

This album contains all of Kenny Rogers hits as a solo singer plus some album cuts. It's an excellent introduction for those who are not familiar with him. He's got a unique voice, instantly recognisable and a very laid back style of singing. My only complain is that the sound quality is below expectation considering that all the tracks are supposed to have been remastered. Hence I'm only giving the album 4 stars

Don't usually go in for hit complications but there is something very endearing about the choice of songs on this album, although it has a few there is not a great deal of the commercial hits that he had in this country & that makes it kind of fresh as the songs are not on the radio a great deal, so it gives you a more intimate feel of an album.

I purchased this after the Glastonbury performance and it instantly reminded me of my mum and dad playing these songs in the car on journeys to summer holidays.
All in all a good package, heavy on ballads and duets but missing the classic Ruby don't take your love to town.
It would have been 5 stars otherwise and at a superb price.
