This machine is every bit as good as it's claimed to be - with one important exception. If you're about to pay the premium for the satin stainless steel model, be aware that it's actually satin stainless steel finish PLASTIC! That said, it's quite well made and looks strong and durable, but it's not real steel and it will scratch just like any of the other plastic models - so it may not be worth paying the extra!

I have used this machine for about a year now and am totally in praise of it. It does exactly what it says on the tin! Trouble free, efficient and really quick. The motor is hugely strong and blitzes, mixes, folds, chops, and shreds with perfect ease. I know this sounds as though I have shares in Magimix but I don't. It really is a great machine and I should have bought one years ago. I also know it looks expensive when looking at other mixers, but believe me they pale into insignificance when using the 4200. I nearly went for the larger model but am so glad I didn't. This size is perfect and have never once wanted anything larger. I use it a hell of a lot and am still amazed at how strong and trouble free it is. It is really Magic!

I agree with these reviewers about the power and ability of this food processor - but - there are some issues.
Firstly the smaller bowls have to be used inside the larger ones and whilst using them food can escape the upper bowl into the lower ones and you end up having to wash up everything just to use one bowl.
The base power unit is built like a tank and quiet too with all that power it's amazingly efficient - but cracks have already appeared in the inner bowl around the centre hole - for such an expensive unit it shouldn't be doing this already.
Time to call the warranty dept....

This is the daddy of all food processors! It chops and grates with ease, and can be used to chop, grate, beat just about anything!!! The blades are razor sharp which makes very light work of food preparation. It is expensive, but it is built like a tank, has numerous blades and beaters (many additional blades which can be purchased) and makes cooking a joy! Comes with a handy recipe book which helps in mastering everything it is capable of. Would definately recommend getting one of these, it puts all other food processors to shame!!!

Love this machine - might even make a cook out of me! Super efficient and extremely sturdy. The only downside is that I have to wash all the bowls after using the smallest one.

I love this product, I have had mine for well over 2 years and some days I use it more than once, it lives on top of the worktop and takes up little space (you will need room to store the wealth of attachments mind you).
It grates, chops, pulses, blitzes, blends and juices. Its efficient, fast and easy to keep clean. I make pastry in it that never fails me, cakes are a wheeze and for chopping and slicing veg nothing can match it.
This is the food processor you see professional chefs use on TV, there is a reason for this, its 100% reliable and a fabulous piece of kit!
