Tommy Lee 'Wild Man of Rock', but not on this album. Tommy Lee 'The Ride' delivers a more sensitive & mature performer, nothing like his last venture with Methods of Mayhem.
You get the feeling that Tommy's first album 'Never a Dull Moment' was the prototype for this one, it sounds like the album he's been aching to make.
If you're a die hard Crue fan then retune your ears. If you've got an open mind then prepare to be surprised by the T'Bone & enjoy at your leisure. There's not much to bang your head to, but it's an enjoyable album all the same, give it a few turns and it'll grow on you. Tommy Lee's turned a corner & dare we say the 'Wild Man of Rock' is mellowing in his old age, or maybe he's just making the kind of music he's always wanted to make.Anyway, strap yourselves in & enjoy the ride!

I happen to have really enjoyed this CD, Good Times and Hello Again are two of my favourite offerings on the cd, as well as the cheeky 'Tired'. This is a CD that you can chill to, its a cd that you can play loud in the car...
It's true, if you're looking for a CD that is similar to the first, you wont find it here, but whoever said change is a bad thing?
I'm a lover of most types of music and I think some hardcore Mr Thomas Lee fans are gonna be a little miffed that he's recorded material with some real mainstream artists. One things for sure, its about the music and as long as the artist himself is happy then no one elses opinion matters. Who are you to criticize someone's artistic direction?
Just listen, love and learn!

I have been a crue fan ever since they started, have seen them 9 times, read the books, got the albums, you name it I got it! I have follwed Nikki from New York Dolls to Tommy in Tommyland. I think this album is great, it's nice sometimes to hear something a little more mellow! I normally listen to Crue, Maiden, Priest, etc - real metal, but I can say I enjoyed this album!!! MY kids don't mind listening either and one of them is into thrash.

Ive been a Crue fan for the past 20 years, only managed to catch them live 3 times..the most recent and by far the best in Glasgow-June 05. I cannot understand how anybody that is a true Crue fan would not be able to appreciate this album by Tommy Lee,because it is extremely easy on the ears and Tommy's voice isnt half bad either.
So i have to completely disagree with "a music fan" from Birmingham...not a TRUE Crue fan in my opinion.
Buy this album and listen to it with an open mind..you should not be disappointed.
Oh and by the way...ive only listened to it once so far,so it hasnt even had a chance to grow on me yet...otherwise i might have given it 5 stars.

Now when you think of the drummer of Motley Crue you think of sex, drugs and rock n roll. Tommy's done them all and managed to be in the media spotlight in the process. This album is great. It shows you that anyone has a peaceful and creative side. 'Good Times' is a great example of meaningful lyrics and melodies but you have to remind yourself all the time...this is Tommy Lee. The album shows alot of guests throughout that add more great energy to the album. My advice...buy it!!!

well where i can i start... this albulm is a ultimate disgrace! tommy lee has well and truly sold out to the teeny boppers of this day and and age, i mean to go from the classic crue to this is just beyond a joke. its just humiliating to watch tommylee on the video single "good times", if this is the music you would like to listen to i recomend buying busted or mcfly but this is just a "come back/side project" albulm to try and get tommy lee a bit of money. i am a hard core crue fan that is not not happy, tommy lee has sold out yet again!!!
