I had high hopes for this software but I have never had such problems as with this programme. My computer is new and fully up to speed in terms of capacity and working with other programmes, but this one just crashed from the beginning. I spent totally about 20 hours trying to get it sorted but to no avail. The recommended patch was a massive (for dial up) 64 MB and took 3 attempts to download properly and that just crashed too (catastrophic failure!). Pinnacle support was hopeless so I gave up. Amazon were superb in their support but there is no way I could recommend this programme or Pinnacle to anyone.

As the previous reviewer I have a new, high spec pc (4gb ram, 500gb HD) which I bought for video editing. I bought studio 10 hoping that I would be able to produce some professional video....not a chance. The program crashes, locks up, crawls along as if I was using an old 486 pc.

If it did all it claimed it would be a fantastic piece of software...come on Pinnacle - fix it.

I tried three versions of Studio, and eventually gave up. Even the latest version was unstable, and caused havoc with my computer, constantly freezing and crashing with all sorts of conflicts. As usual it was never Pinnacle's fault, and there was no real help available. I lost all interest in video editing and developed a back-log of work. I removed it and cleaned the register, then bought another cheaper and better programme and never looked back.

Actually, it's not even a good programme, with insufficient tracks for anything serious.

I am sure disappointed in this product. My pc is CPU4/3gig/ 1gig RAM and 200+ HD. I had Studio 8 and was having some problems with the final DVD not syncing the audio correctly toward the end of the movie. Since Pinnacle didn't support v. 8 anymore, I decided to upgrade to 10, get all the new features and hopefully resolve the issue I was having. BOY -- did I get bit! V. 10 crashes, locks up, etc. I "chatted" with their support and spent all day Saturday checking drivers for updates, reinstalling (twice) the software & updates, and FINALLY got it running enough to try and import the defective movie. BUT -- the movie didn't import fully. Most of it is trash.
