This is a good double CD with a variety of tracks. If you are a Jam fan you should have most, if not , it's a good enough introduction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gold: two great albums in one, 16 July 2012

Disc One is actually the complete "The Sound of The Jam", and Disc Two is "The Jam Extras" minus tracks already on disc one (Tales of the Riverbank, Liza Radley and Eton Rifles) but with News of the World, Strange Town, When You're Young, Funeral Pyre and Absolute Beginners added (tracks 2-6). Disc Two also unfortunately loses the alternate version of Smithers-Jones as it is wrongly seen to duplicate the version on Disc One. If I had to break the rating down I'd give disc one four and a half stars and disc two three and a half but it still adds up to a very listenable overview of the Jam's career.
