5.0 out of 5 stars Forever & Ever....Amen!
This was my first trip into the world of After Forever. I chose this album as my first, being it was the newest product they had. I was not disappointed! 3.0 out of 5 stars Great vocals let down by average songs
European symphonic heavy rock with a fantastic female vocalist but let down by disappointingly average songs. Still interesting enough to check out further releases by this group.

This was my first trip into the world of After Forever. I chose this album as my first, being it was the newest product they had. I was not disappointed! From the openers Enter and Come, you are treated to the raw emotive power and melody, combined with large open orchestral arrangements, that defines AF. Floor's voice is beyond description from her powerful, soulful operatic voice to the emotive, sensual rock croon, changing between them in a flick of a note. Boundaries Are Open with its great verse is one highlight, Living Shields shows what Power and Thrash Metal combined can do! Being Everyone is just so commercial, but it rocks - and another of my highlights! Attendance & Free Of Doubt give you a chance to breathe before launching into the finest song on the album in my opinion - Being Everyone. It encompasses all that AF are - emotion, power, class and soul. It ranks with Nightwish's Ghost Love Score, Kamelot's Haunting and Within Temptation's See Who I Am as a defining moment in music. Strong just continues the quality and dark emotive power. Face Your Demons, No Control & Forever close the show and show what breadth of quality they have in their songwriting.Nuff said - Buy It - or be a lesser being for not having done so!

5.0 out of 5 stars Class Act, 8 Oct 2005

Excellent sound quality, good mix. Floors voice is amazing in this format, even Sanders growl sounds good (and I don't much like growlers). He doesn't growl too often, but the songs are well matched. Not always the most cheerful of albums, but it ROCKS big time. Full of passion and drama, and for the most part a very tight performance from all involved. Well worth adding to your collection.
