The first and best of the four singles from this over-hyped indie rock acts popular second album: You Could Have It So Much Better. With the mannered vocals of Alex Kapranos, its lyric featuring famous friends, arty parties, and numerous homoerotic references, and its jerky new-wave guitar rhythm, this ingratiating single shamelessly steals its sound and ideas from two hugely influential art-school rock acts of the 1970s: Roxy Music and Talking Heads. The 2 B-sides - the unfortunately titled 'Fabulously Lazy' and the earnest acoustic version of album track 'What You Meant' - are almost completely overshadowed by the lead track.
