Seen JM a few times live, once with his full electric line up and they rocked. Also a solo set which was magical. This CD reminded me that John Martyn was a genius guitarist. Enjoy

Love John Martyn, whatever mood he's in. This early album is a real gem. It's sweet, simple and beautiful and shows off his guitar prowess and understated vocals perfectly. Good mix of tempi in the tracks too. Any budding young guitarists could learn a thing or two from this master of the strings.

I liked John's "May you Never" and therefore bought this as a filler for my collection. Bit dissapointed really, not terrible, just nothing that I likes a lot.

Always loved this album so when my LP became a little too well played I had to get the CD.

As with 'The Tumbler', very folkie - superb singing and playing. And an excellent collection of songs.
