For the size this thing is great. It's small enough to go anywhere.
It sounds pretty good - in fact at first the sound is amazing because it's such a small unit. It is, though, a bit of a thin sound. Still, I don't know how it could be better at this size.
A more serious problem is the distortion at high volumes. It's easily solved - turn it down a bit - but it seems to show poor design.
Overall, if you want portable amplifier/speakers for your digital audio player, this is pretty good. I'd recommend listening to some others, though, before you go out and buy it.

When this unit arrives at your door (and I highly recommend it does), you'll be surprised at how small this speaker set is. Once you take it out of the packaging, you'll see it is a solidly built, sleek unit with simply laid out buttons controlling the volume, power and 'wide stereo effect'.
Simply plug the supplied jack into the headphone socket of your MP3 Player and you're ready to go.
The sound produced is sharp, clear and the wide stero effect leaves you wondering exactly how this little unit can achieve it.
Although bass is slightly dissapointing, what can you expect from something this small, at this price with only 2 speakers doing all the work?
Overall, it's a great product and I'll certainly be using it a lot. Highly recommended

These really are a superb little pair of speakers. I have had various "budget" travel speakers before, but soon got tired of the poor sound quality and distortion at anything other than a whisper-like volume. There is no such trouble with these speakers.

I listen to Rock/Alt type stuff and the delivery with these speakers is excellent, with distortion only if you overload the volume on your MP3 and turn up the speakers to the max.

I use these a lot when I travel for work and end up stuck alone in some god-awful hotel. With these it is a cinch to fill the room with really decent sounding music.

The folding mechanism that turns off the power is a clever little touch which means that the power can never be on when you have put them away.

I am struggling to think of anything negative to say............perhaps they are a little on the heavy side, but I am sure that is what allows them to develop a decent sound.

Buy these and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Having already owned the Creative TravelDock 900 which I unfortunately dropped in the bath and killed, this is another excellent product from Creative.

Ive had mine for three days and am currently testing the battery life which seems to be very good. Im using rechargeable batteries and so far they are holing up very well with hardly any loss of sound quality as the batteries get weaker.

Although the unit has a stereo wide effect, its not really needed as the sound is powerful enough without it.

If you are looking for some powerful portable speakers, you can't go far wrong with this stylish little set. There's even an auto shutoff mechanism which activates when you close the speakers up to save battery life if you forget to turn it off!

There's also a 5 volt DC in socket so you can plug it into the mains. I purchased a universal adaptor from a well known High Street retailer for a fiver when I bought the Traveldock 900.

Buy one now, you won't be dissappointed.

As soon as I plugged in and switched it on, thought I was listening to a full size hi-fi system. Running a sony vaio ap1L mp3/hard disc player through it suits it well, and unless you put player and speaker volume up full it handles most bass settings fine. All in all, probably worth the money especially if you want equivalent of a hi-fi system on the move, best ive heard in ages.

I was bought these speakers as a gift in January 2007. I'm now on my second replacement set. My original set broke after being used a few times on low volume - the speakers made a loud screeching noise and then died. Creative sent me a replacement. Exactly the same problem developed with the replacement ones, again after little use and on a low volume. Again Creative has replaced them. The Creative Customer Support Team is helpful but I have to pay to return the speakers each time and I haven't travelled with the speakers as I have no confidence that they will be reliable. From my experiences, it seems as though there is a problem with this particular product. It is a shame as my other Creative products - a Vision M and travel headphones - are great.
Update - the replacement set has broken again! I give up. These speakers are appalling and Creative should be ashamed to be selling such a poor quality product.

These little spekers are brilliant and well worth it. They are fairly priced, not too cheap and not too expensive but they are seriously good quality. I tried out quite a few different makes, some costing almost double, and these Creative speakers came out tops! The clarity is exceptional, The bass is obviously minimal because they are very small speakers but if you want more base, you can buy an additional subwoofer, which is also very small, called the Creative P150, which i bought too It does make quite a difference but the speakers by themselves are perfect for general listening. I highly recommend them to anyone as they are definitely excellent value for money for a very good quality product.

Just like the previous review I'm fussy and quite critical when it comes to hi-fi, and good quality sound. Low end bass is absent, but mid range bass is there and is perfectly adequate for most music. You couldn't expect anything else for the size of the unit and the price. For the price I would give the unit a five star rating. The mid range is clear and sweet, and the top end is not too thin as to to be annoying. I've played everything from Jack Johnson, classical, and indie, and its all sounds very good. The unit is solid and well built. It also looks very good (it comes in black and white - its nicer in the black). It comes with a nice velvet feel carrying pouch and is perfect for travelling. If you want great bass and top end sound with speakers that are portable around the house (but not portable enough for travelling) I would recommend the Creative GigaWorks T20 Speaker system - for £50 they are unbeatable. If you are planning on using speakers with high portability then plump for these Creative Travel sound speakers. I use a Creative MP3 player with them, and cant comment on the sound quality through other units.

I am absolutely stunned by these tiny but never tinny speakers. I have connected my Zen to them and am currently listening to a bit of Elvis Costello and Bruce Thomas's bass guitar is singing out across my kitchen. Cannot believe how good they sound for such a portable item. Very happy!

I have had this product for 2 years and never fail to take it on holiday with us. Strong build, good sound for the price and ease of use (just plug in your MP3). May need to shop around to get a power lead as creative do not supply one or sell it separately.
Otherwise great value!
