I absolutely love Lyn Collins Mama Feelgood album. This album is the personfication of funk, and as the title says you can only feel good once listening to her music (excuse the cheese). There are a couple of collaborations with James Brown, more than what is indicated, (they work very well with each other vocally). This album has several great tracks from Think (about it), Mama feel good, rock me again and again, too many to mention. If you like the funky James Brown and the JB era you will love this. An excellent purchase and addition to my collection.

This is original funk, with seriously belting vocals. There's only a tiny bit of filler (hence 4*) but otherwise a must-have!

Like righteous soul and 'down and dirty', funk bass? Then this CD is for you. Working with James Brown meant that any work by Lynne Collins was going to be good, and there's lots of it here. If I have to select a stand-out track, I'd go for `Backstabbers', where she duets with JB; a CD well worth the money!

Naturally, James Brown tended to eclipse his co-artists, so a lot of the tracks on this set would have slipped though under the radar when they were released, here's an excellent opportunity to finally catch up.

A lot of the tracks on this CD remind me very much of Millie Jackson. Some great songs and lyrics. A very under rated singer with a stellar voice.

For such a consistently good LP with so many standouts. If you like this type of music then buy this.
