5.0 out of 5 stars Miasma
This album is a must own! I bought it on the basis that i thought the artwork on the cover was amazing, and i love death metal, so i thought i'd have it, and i've never regretted it. The boys come back with their 2005 Metal Blade release, and there's nothing i can fault on this album. The vocals are brilliant, the integrity of his growl just blows you away, while you...

1.0 out of 5 stars The Black Dahlia Murder - MIASMA........WHAT??????????????????????????
The people that have purchased this album needs there heads testing. It's pathetic. Seriously you cannot call this music. This is music played at times 5 the normal speed. I am a metal, thrash (in particular) and Goth lover. Save your money and buy 'HIM' or Exodus, Killswitch engage, Kittie.......anything but NOT 'The Black Dahlia Murder'

This album is a must own! I bought it on the basis that i thought the artwork on the cover was amazing, and i love death metal, so i thought i'd have it, and i've never regretted it. The boys come back with their 2005 Metal Blade release, and there's nothing i can fault on this album. The vocals are brilliant, the integrity of his growl just blows you away, while you struggle to keep up with the insanely fast guitar and drum work. It isn't just heavy noise either, it's a well oiled unit that knows how to interlock speedy guitar work with fast drums and hard vocals, whilst making it sound almost catchy, songs such as the first single, A Vulgar Picture, make you wonder why death metal is such an underground part of metal!
The album combines elements of Unearth type guitars, whilst making them their own, the result of this collection of songs,is a whitish, wet stain around the crotch of your trousers!
AMAZING!Highlights of the album,I'm Charming,Flies,A Vulgar Picture, and Dave Goes To Hollywood!

this is the follow up to the excellent unhallowed opus and its business as usual for the deathcore bruisers, the black dahlia murder aint strictly death metal,in some ways they are more a mixture of death and metalcore, the lyrical content is again blood and core but they somehow sound unique and are interesting, this is a solid album filled with venom and rage,it wont suit fans of metalcore as such and certainly for lovers of deicide and morbid angel either, its the combination which makes the black dahlia murder so brilliant ,give them a go and you wont be sorry
