My daughter is 26 months, and not so coordinated with coloring yet so I thought this would be a good beginning toy to help her get a bit handier with holding crayons and such. It's, well, so-so for this..... From the picture it seems you start with a 'white' or blank picture card. But there is coloring already on it, so when you do go there with your water pen, it's not like there is such a dramatic change. So she wasn't as excited as I hoped with the color changes, as it is not as nearly as dramatic as what you see in the pictures. Good thing is that it is compact and lightweight and the waterpens of course are wonderful cuz, well, they've only got water in them. Oh, the papers are not super durable either...

I bought these for my 18 moth old who absolutely loved them! She enjoyed colouring in the characters and I didn't need to worry about water or paint all over the place. My 3 year old loved the Disney Princess ones and even my 8 year old niece had a shot too! They dry really quickly too which is great but it is a bit of a race against time to finish it without drying! Only thing is the pen is quite small so you need to fill it lots of times.

Not very happy with this purchase but felt i had to keep it as it was a last minute replacement gift for a friends child, the quality appeared ok but there extremely small and and dont provide much entertainment for the little one.

Most of the picture is already coloured in. Only the characters react to the water colouring.

for the price it is a very poor product and postage considering weight was expensive considering it was second class,so wont by from this company or recomend it to anyone !

The picture on the box is misleading, and it's true that the pictures are mostly coloured-in already. My 2-year-old was less taken with this, but he loved the Peppa Pig mats.
