The first and best album by the Meteors, Psychobilly sounds with a Rockabilly undertone. You won't be disappointed with this album if your looking for the best in stomping rockabilly tunes. The Meteors tried to better this album but never really did.

5.0 out of 5 stars The 1st & The Best, 5 Jan 2007
This review is from: In Heaven (Audio CD)
So ... this album came out & threw a spanner in the works of the Rockin' Scene. All of a sudden, instead of us teenagers having to watch 'old guys' on stage we instantly had our own thing ... this lp sent us crazy in the head, man, it was like a new religion. Theres not one imperfect track here, its pure psychobilly perfection, they came close to this on their 2nd album, but only close. This was back in the day when there was only 1 Psychobilly band & 1 Psychobilly album .. buy it & see what psychbilly should sound like. For more of the same (same perfect lineup) try Teenagers from outer space .. a compilation of early recordings that was released much L8R.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's wreck !, 9 Dec 2005
This review is from: In Heaven (Audio CD)
This album now I think is in it's 3rd issue.

Bought this back in '81 after buying the fantastic single (Radioactive Kid) and EP ( Meteor Madness). It blew my mind and everybody I knew as well. It's a killer of an album and will have anybody with an original or later interest of the origins of UK Psychobilly jumping ( sorry wreckin')with joy.

Strangely I never worked out why this came out on the then Reggae label Island ?

My words cannot and will never do the tracks justice so you will have to buy it, beg steal or borrow it.

Some say the original line up was the best but P. Fenech has kept the band going all these years. With still a loyal following this longetivity is testament to his and our dedication to the Mutant Rock.
