When "Calculating infinity" came out, I felt very doubtful that another band would come through and create something equally menacing, or just progress heavy music further. This is another step in the chain of musical evoloution.
BTA are a three piece whose musical ideas have pushed the limitations again for guitar. This is mainly due to Colin Marstons two handed technique of the Warr guitar, which creates another musical dimension which Trey Gunn or Victor Wooten were pushing in other realms of prog and jazz.
It really is vicious at some points in this 3 track e.p and I can only compare it to sounding like computer game programmes ( you know, stuff like Mario or Sonic - but just on guitar). Very clever and one of the most intense, technical and imaginative bands that I have heard in the last 3 years. They could only get better if Chris Pennie joined their band. Lol!
