Great to see this album finally on CD. When this album was released Stealers Wheel were already finished. The album is still very good though with some of their best tracks. "Found my way to you' deserved to be the big hit it never was, just like this album which was criminally ignored in 1975. Gerry Rafferty went on to bigger things, but Joe Egan also made 2 very good albums which in my opinion should also be re-released by the good people of Lemon !

I've been looking for this album for a long time, but was suspicious that the company who'd released the CD format version wasn't the original company who released the LP.
I downloaded track 5 ('Home from Home') to "audition" it. It's the last track on side 1 of the LP and therefore more prone to being lower quality.
Guess what? It's vinyl!
Can it be that the original master tapes no longer exist?
A tragedy if that's the case :(

This, Stealers Wheel's third and final album, restored the high standards of lyrics and musicianship that Gerry Rafferty and Joe Egan had set on their first album "Stealers Wheel".

superb third and last album from stealers wheel, stand out songs are wishbone and let yourself go, i have all 3 albums which are all as good as each other, its just ashame they never made a fouth album. stealers wheels music makes you smile, you will play it over and over again, they are much much more than the single stuck in the middle with you ( not on this album ) which is one of many superb stealers songs. so go out and buy all 3 albums and put a smile on your face.
