Following a hand injury, I purchased this item to assist my physiotherapy regime. It has proved to be very useful.

I am a spin bowler and mostly use my fingers to turn the ball. This product will help me build strong fingers.

It works just fine - more tension for a 'first-timer' would have been too severe.
Good quality gear.

I think this is the best thing i ever bought... I use it on the bus, in bed.. I practically never put the thin down. Not only does it strengthen your finers wrist and hand, this little gadet is brilliant if you're stressing or just bored.

I am a guitarist and just after a day of using this product i have noticed a significant improvement in my playing, not so much speed and certainly doesn't magically make me a guitar god...but its made playing acoustic guitar feel like i'm playing electric, if you get what i mean..

From switching from my left hand to right, I suddenly realized the weakness of my left, after a couple of days of using this product you really begin to see and feel the effect and your hand strengthening, and the best part is you don't ever leaave the bloody thing alone :P.

Very handy product indeed and I recommend for anyone who is a hands on person.

This product line looks great, and for some people it may well be exactly what they need. I am looking to increase my general arm/forearm/hand strength, so while I would not solely rely on these for all of that, they were to help with the hand grip and forearm strengthening. The problem I have with them is that the plastic sections for each finger are too close together. I have fairly large hands but find these just need me to cram my fingers very close together in order for each finger to be correctly positioned on the corresponding pad. Therefore I could not use this product exactly in it's intended way. Also, I feel that the plastic is too hard on the fingers, and they need some sort of padding like the palm section. It is uncomfortable to use for more than 30 seconds at a time. The "pro" version which does had rubber pads is not much of an improvement, as the black pads feels almost the same as the hard plastic on this product. You need to have extensive sessions with these exercisers in order for them to be beneficial, but because of the hard plastic I sadly cannot do that, with any version of this product line.

Overall, I would avoid these if you don't have really tough fingers, and have large hands. Or maybe I just have weirdly shaped hands and weak fingers.

EDIT: Forearm, not forehead!

I'm always a bit weary about buying exercise equipment that comes in small, medium and large. Male pride demands you get the biggest and heaviest, while experience suggests getting the weakest would actually be the most sensible. For that reason I went for the medium strength for something to play with before I go climbing for the first time.

It's way too weak. I can't imagine how weak your hands must be to benefit from this. My girlfriend didn't notice any discernible resistance either.

It's also a little small. I guess that will vary depending on your hand size, but it didn't sit comfortably.
