I brought this product for my sons 5th birthday,he had kept on about it for ages.we have used it once and how dissapointing. It could really do with some kind of ac adaptor as batteries are not powerful enough to chop up the fruit.Drained batterys really quick so but them in bulk ..

The children love the idea of making a smoothie and learning about healthy fruit. They like the 'factory' aspect of the two blenders and the lollies. However the blended isn't really strong enough to properly puree fruit and it's a bit of a nightmare to clean - I always end up doing the blending in the adult one and letting them mix and pour. Unlike adult blenders it still blends if the lid's taken off - so watch out.

My niece did not enjoy the prodcut as much as she had hoped. it was hard to figure out and it used expensive batteries - so few if any advantages over a supervised use of the blender.

I purchased lots of items required for this Fruit factory to make both ice lollies and smoothies for my children, it isn't just fruit you need, vanilla essence, raspberry, plain and vanilla yogurt, honey, milk, chocolate and a few other ingredients. We done as the instructions stated, chop into small pieces etc and the chopper would not spin, it took us ages to get it to spin, both me and my partner had knives chopping the fruit smaller inside the container as you cannot remove the fruit once inside as it has a safety guard. The only decent part of this product is the lolly moulds but you can buy them just about anywhere so I wouldn't bother buying this product just for the moulds. We finally finished making the lumpiest smoothie and ice lollies I have ever tasted and threw the product straight in the bin. A complete waste of money!!! stay well clear.

I read the reviews on here about this item and like one of the other Mum's was pestered in to buying it for Christmas against my better judgement. What a waste of money that was. You have to chop the fruit so small otherwise the blades do not turn and then it's a bit awkward to clean. We have used this twice in four months, my daughter likes the smoothies and lollies we make but I think even she was bored quite quickly with the fruit chopping and the lack of power this item has.

I purchased this Lets Cook Fruit Factory for my 7 year old grand-daughter for Christmas. She had seen it advertised on the television and being very interested in all things culinary she included it on her list of presents sent to Father Christmas. This product simply does not work as shown on the television or on the outside of the box. Only soft fruits were used - bananas, strawberries and kiwi but the pathetic motor could not even cope with these and the contents had to be taken out and chopped by hand over and over again and returned to the machine but it still could not cope. Surely this product should not be on sale - my grand-daughter was so disappointed and I am sure countless other children have been too. To make up for her disappointment I have purchased a 'grown-up' smoothie maker at a much lower price than the 'toy' one and it works perfectly!

My 5 year old got this for his birthday and we put the batteries in ( good ones) and it didn't have enough power to smooth a strawberry, in fact it didn;t do anything except swish it about. My son was very disappointed. If you are thinking of buyinhg this then put simplt - DONT. buy a blender instead.

It couldn't even blend a banana or mix yoghurt with the fruit that I had to blend with my proper blender!A real shame as my child was really excited about making smoothies and ice lollies!

My 5 year old daughter bought this with her birthday money, and had wanted it for ages. It's a good idea, but simply doesn't have enough power to blend fruit. I ended up using my food processor, and just using the lolly moulds. I'm sure it would mix a milkshake fine, but not smoothies. You'd be better off buying an adult amoothie maker and lolly moulds, it would be cheaper. On the other hand, it did succeed in getting my daughter into the kitchen and helping to chop the fruit! |
