As a novice I was wondering how hard can it be? I'd never worked on a build kit before so I wasn't sure what to expect.
Once I got going it was fine. I soon realised that I wanted to make a good job of it and that I was going to need more paints than I had originally bought. To some degree you can blend some of the paints to achieve the colour required.
There's a lot of fine detail to be added and for this you will need fine brushes.
For any large surface areas you would be better off using dedicated spray paints or suffer from visible brush strokes on the finish.
I limited myself to gloss red spray for the main body shell and matt black spray for the undertray. The rest was off the shelf pots of modelling paint - all from a popular DIY chain.
Probably the trickiest part was applying the decals.
You need three things - tools, skills and patience. If you have all three you'll end up with a very nice looking model of a very nice Ferrari F1 racecar.
