5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Game
I bought Star wars episode three in preparation for seeing the film however it does follow the plot and has clips from the movie. I would suggest to anyone that plans to buy this game wait until after the film because otherwise it will spoil the film. 3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Enough
This game is pretty good actually. It is a hack 'n' slash based on the movie. There are loads of short cut scenes interspersed in the game play. It follows the movie quite closely.

Graphics are very good as is the sound but it is linear. There are only so many droids you can destroy before you get bored. Objectives are easy enough. Overall it is...

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Game, 15 May 2005
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
I bought Star wars episode three in preparation for seeing the film however it does follow the plot and has clips from the movie. I would suggest to anyone that plans to buy this game wait until after the film because otherwise it will spoil the film. It must be said though that this is certainly a challenging game with difficult lightsaber battles with the likes of General Grievous. Unlike other games this actually allows you to have proper duals with a lightsaber. So enjoy this game you must and may the force be with you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great but too short, 8 May 2005
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
I saw this game advertised and went straight out to the shop to get it, and I wasn't too disappointed. The game has great graphics and amazing gameplay, but I was not too happy about the length of the game - there are only 17 levels, which are pretty easy even on hard mode. Although the story is short, the game's durability is increased slighty by the unlockable two player missions and one player bonus missions. However, there are not many of these and they get repetitive. A good feature though is the two player vs mode where players can have one on one lightsabre duels, or player one can practice their lightsaber skills against a hand picked CPU opponent. There are also a wide range of selectable characters in vs mode - most of the opponents with lightsabres met in the story are in there, including two special characters...
I managed to complete the story mode in about two days, but it is definitely a worthwhile buy if you're not on you're PS2 as much as me!
Overall, the game is great, but I feel that Lucas Arts could have done more with the story mode, but the extras make up for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Episode 3, 7 Mar 2006
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
This is a brilliant game. You can learn lots of skills and be all of the main characters in the movie. Having lightsaber duels is great fun. I think that anyone who buys this game will enjoy it. It took me 2 1/2 months to get through the whole game. It is very exciting and you can win jedi and sith's to be on two player fighting each other.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lightsaber fun with a hint of the dark side, 6 May 2005
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
Players of the lord of the rings, the two towers or return of the king will easily recognise the game play. A mixture of button bashing and skill assignment between levels; note this is not a bad thing. The gameplay is fast and furious and lots of fun as you slash and use your force powers to make your way through the game. You play as either Obi-wan or Anakin and each character has a definite play style.
This is a very enjoyable game, game play is often fast and furious and the graphics and engine smooth even when surrounded by dozens of enemies. The likeness are good and while not the real actors the voices are by no means cheesy, be warned though the game is true to the film and you will discover the plot if you play this. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Over all a fine game, while criminally short there are several bonus missions to be unlocked which does give it a slightly longer life.
A must have for fans and a fine addition to any action gamers collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST STARWARS GAME YET!, 11 May 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
Ever since i heard it was coming out i wanted it. The graphics are great, the moves incredibly fluent and the duels fantastic.
One of the best features is the intricate use of the force. The game is however a bit short on the story mode (and easy even on hard) but it is still enjoyable and the multiplayer levels and bonus levels (both featuring special characters) do add to the duration of the game. By far the best part is the dueling mode. All in all a fantastic game. You have to buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars You will enjoy this game, 1 Jun 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
This game is the best out of all the Star Wars series. It has a lot of force powers and you can pilot many different canons. There's lots of Jedi to face and there are Sound effects from the film. You can even open doors with your lightsabre .
You can block shots and send it back to them. Your child will love this game.
You might be a bit disappointed in the first levels but it gets better as it goes on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Enough, 21 Dec 2008

This game is pretty good actually. It is a hack 'n' slash based on the movie. There are loads of short cut scenes interspersed in the game play. It follows the movie quite closely.

Graphics are very good as is the sound but it is linear. There are only so many droids you can destroy before you get bored. Objectives are easy enough. Overall it is enjoyable, especially if you are a Star Wars fan.

But there is a downside. The controls are over complicated and sometimes the game cannot keep up with the button bashing. Also, you can only save at the end of a level. One or two have checkpoints but if you don't get to the end you have to repeat the level from the beginning and that is a bind. Also, the bosses can be tough. The game itself is short but there are some tough sections. The experience upgrades don't seem to improve skills much.

This game is very good but the complex controls, lack of save options and odd mayhem moment make the game frustrating at times. Star Wars fans will enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars lightsabers, 17 May 2005
By
This review is from: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (PS2) (Video Game)
At last a game with lightsabers for ps2 this game is unbelievably good it has actual film footage from revenge of the sith the lightsaber duels are just fantastic (however playing the duels by yourself can get boring) the one player mode is great you can actually feel the emotion between the characters as you interact with them be warned though this game does contain quite a few spoilers so some of you will prefer to watch the film first but it's only focus is the action so at some points you actually skip alot of the story which won't matter once you've seen the film the controls are very easy to master so anyone can pick this game up and feel like they have true mastery of the force the developers have done a superb job with this game Hayden Christensen helped them get the right moves to make the lightsaber dueling the best ever seen on a games console it looks so much like the film itself and my verdict is : "the force is strong with this one"
